Unhitched

This qualifies as a comedy? I watched one episode of this crap and decided that I didn't need to watch anymore to trash it. Fox always has cheap crass comedies to air every season and this show has very few redeeming qualities if any. Rashida Jones was great as Karen on The Office and I believe that she will go on to do great things. I just hope she can erase this off of her resume. Knowing that the Farrellys were producing this didn't make me want to watch it, she did. Craig Bierko who I assume has nothing better to do with his time will always be best remembered by me from his stint on Sex and the City. He has yet to do anything more memorable that I have seen. I really don't think Scary Movie 4 won him any fans, at least not fans over the age of 12.

Unhitched was just painful to sit through.

Miss Represented

It should have been the most amazing thing. It seemed like all the elements for a quirky awesome comedy had aligned. My favorite supporting actress Judy Greer had been given the lead role on a tv show. That meant I was going to be able to watch her every week. No more waiting 6 months between movie roles. There was no laugh track, people I recognized were her co-stars. It has not been anywhere near as good as it should have been.

I've watched 5 episodes and the whole thing seems flat. Which is a total surprise because the whole show is this big garish color wheel. Everything on the surface screams watch me, love me. I barely crack a smile where I'm supposed to be laughing. I wanted so badly to love this show. I don't. It's killing me. Two of the leads were on this amazingly bad show I loved, North Shore. A great summer series. I wish some of the camp had rubbed off of the actors and fallen into this show. No such luck. Even Chris Parnell, Dr. Spaceman from 30 Rock can't even help the show and he's funny. At least he is everywhere else I've seen him. Maybe I was just expecting too much. If my expectations had been in the toilet this probably would have been the greatest thing I'd ever seen.

This will hopefully teach me a lesson for the future. I'll just keep my expectations low from now on. I can't keep on getting hurt like this. When gossip girl returns in a few weeks, I will just keep telling myself that it won't be as much fun as it was, it will just be ok. That way when the show is ridiculously fantastic I will be able to rejoice instead of wallow in this ugly pool of regret.

Idol

The results show was on last night, a full hour of crap which I didn't sit through thanks to one of my good friends. My dvr. While I love it most of the time I fell out of love with it for 2 minutes this afternoon when I realized it was having trouble playing back top model from last night. I remembered it reruns on sunday and just like that I forgave it for it's hiccup and moved on.

Back to Idol, I didn't watch it all. I fast forwarded through most of it like I usually do when it's the results show. It's all just a bunch of filler to get to the last 2 minutes. Same old thing anyway, invite a previous contestant back to sing a song, a dumb ford ad. This season they've tried something new, q & a. Seriously, wtf!

A few of my friends are completely dumbstruck that kristy lee cook is still on the show, saying she has no talent and should've left the first week. This week I have to give her snaps, whoever thought of having her sing Proud to be an American should get a raise. If it was her she deserves to stay. Every season someone outstays their welcome and better performers get cut. First season, Nikki McKibbin...she was in the top three...where is she now? We all know that every week someone is going to have to go...this week it was chikezie's turn. Hey, he was put out of his misery, did he really think he had a chance of winning? Does anyone with david archuleta around? Anyone and everyone I talk to is head over heels for this kid...am I the only one not drinking the kool-aid?

The First One

A good friend of mine suggested I start a blog. I believe she thinks I'm entertaining in person but will this translate to the page? I sure hope so. Otherwise why am I even bothering? Maybe it's because I watch more television than some might think could even be possible. At least this way it won't all be in vain. But everyone has a blog, do I really need to start another one? I doubt I have anything to say that will change anyone's lives. Perhaps this will all just be an exercise in doing something different for a change. Change can't be all that bad. Changing my bedsheets always seems to make me happy.

A few things first though
- be prepared for bad grammar
- I don't like capital letters (although I will try, so far not so bad)
- punctuation is my enemy
- I really like ellipses...what a great word...say it again with me...ellipses

mmm...I think I'm already getting the hang of this...up next...something other than an introduction.

be prepared...it could get crazy in here
