Yay! I am one more step closer to blogging everyday! I bought a wireless keyboard for my ipad this afternoon. It's awesome. Much easier to use than the onscreen one. I feel invincible now.

I watched the finale of Chuck last night. As a longtime fan I have to say I wasn't thrilled with it. It was kind of anti climatic. It ended and it was over and that was that. They had time to put this together and it fell flat for me. Six Feet under ruined finales for us all. I called my father in tears after that show ended and he said, "honey what's wrong?" I replied that I had just finished the series and that it was sad and beautiful. He laughed. He would. I tried to explain the magic of it all...the music, the way they chose to off the characters and he listened like any good father would and said it was nice that TV people could move me so much. Whatever. He didn't watch the show and just didn't understand! Had I called him after Chuck I would have just been..meh. He definitely would have laughed again though.

Oh Chuck, I had a nice 5 year run with you but now you're over and I can move on. I wish all of your actors good future roles and hope that Zach Levi finds another show soon. He was cool. But what's going to happen to Jeffster? Are they going to be relegated to the quirky sidekicks in another show? Is there any hope for them returning to the small screen regularly in the near future? Only time will tell. In the meantime I have no other outlet to see any spy happenings. Unless you count the CIA stewardess on Pan Am. I don't because let's face it, it won't make the cut for a second season. I've already deleted an episode to make space for something else on my DVR. That just screams cancellation. It always does.

Prime Suspect

Hey folks, I'm back again. 2nd day in a row. Woohoo.

Here are my quibbles about this soon to be cancelled, already halted in production show. There's really only one. I hate shows/movies whatever that are supposed to be set in NYC but are clearly not shot there. This is so obviously shot in LA that it makes me cringe every time I see them on the street. LA and NYC are two completely different places. The location shots between scenes are NYC. This irks me.

Just yesterday in NYC Mayor Bloomberg held a press conference with the cast of Gossip Girl to celebrate their 100th episode. They shoot in the city and the Mayor was recognizing them for it. In fact this current 2011-2012 television season, 23 shows are filmed in the city. The most ever. To roll out a show like Prime Suspect with such a pedigree and give it such a marketing push (everyone knows and dislikes that hat) and miss this ridiculous opportunity to shoot here...they shouldn't have even bothered.

As for the actual show? I could take it or leave it. You know I love a good procedural but it wasn't real enough for me. They should have just set it in LA. They couldn't though because NBC already had a magnificent cop show set in LA and they cancelled it. It's called Southland and it's currently in it's fourth season and it's airing over on TNT. I suggest you head on over there Tuesday nights at 10pm and watch it. It's incredible.

Missing

I miss this. I actually miss writing my blog. The lack of a laptop has kept me from expounding on my television pursuits and that's tragic. I love TV. I don't know what I'd do without it. What would have kept me entertained during hurricane Irene? A book? Hardly. Don't get me wrong I love to read. On the subway. I can't seem to read at home. There's always another show that needs to be watched. Always.

Take for example Justified. I NEED to watch it. Problem is I haven't gotten past episode 6 of the first season. Life got in the way and I missed the second half of the season. I never managed to catch the reruns and I refuse to pay for it on iTunes. I taped (ha, I dvr'd) the entire second season last year. It's still on the DVR and so are the first two episodes of the third season. If you've been paying attention, I love Timothy Olyphant. I have for years. The man has his own tv show and I am not caught up with it. This distresses me greatly. So does child labor and the environment but this isn't the space to be chatting about those things. TV, that's what I do.

My best friend came to visit me recently and she looked at my 95% full DVR and remarked, "how can you watch this much TV?" I have no idea. I swear I'm not a shut in. It just happens.

All this to say...I've missed blogging and I think I'm back for good. Only time will tell really but I might actually be around for the return of So You Think You Can Dance this summer. All 1 episode a week of it. They are depriving me of quality Cat Deeley time by cutting back to just one show a week but I get it. So, I'll watch some TV this week and get back to you. Ciao!

Covert Affairs

In advance of tonight's second season premiere of Covert Affairs I would just like to say one thing. I really hope they have changed the title sequence. The show is okay, I did watch the entire first season (yes I know that really doesn't mean anything since I watch everything). But every time the credits rolled at the beginning I kept thinking, "this could be so much better." It's awful really. It looks cheap and corny and just completely like a first or second draft of something that wasn't quite finished but they put it on the air anyway. I am convinced that someone else at USA thought the exact same thing and that they have scrapped the original and will come back tonight with something fresh and new. A girl can dream.

But seriously. Hello. Here I am. Back after almost a year and a half. It's been WAY too long. A lot of TV has happened since January 26, 2010 and while I will probably not get into what has happened I would like to continue on in the same mode I was before I so naughtily disappeared. I am still watching just as much TV as I was at the beginning of all of this, I think life just got in the way of me sharing all of my super crazy awesome thoughts. I am back though. For reals.

I Watch WAAAAY Too Much TV

I think I can finally declare officially that I watch too much television. While watching the season premiere of Greek tonight we learned that Fisher, Ashleigh's boyfriend cheated on her again and that she broke up with him. This means that the Greek piece will no longer be on the show. Sadness, he was cute and their chemistry seemed real. I just did a small bit of research (google..."greek fisher") and found out their dating in real life. Of course they are. Well, Fisher is gone but he appeared somewhere else. I finally got around after watching Greek to the first episode of Nip/Tuck from three weeks ago and who should appear in the first five minutes. Fisher! It's random and strange and only I would make the mistake of taking forever to watch something and find a character offed from one show only to appear in the next one I decide to watch. How many people watch Greek AND Nip/Tuck? There's got to be more people out there like me.

I love fluff and I love gore. If someone could just make something like that in one show I would be in heaven. Kind of like when my dad says if they put All My Children in space he would watch it. I am so my father's kid. Well, that's all I have to share right now. I've been in mourning for the past few weeks because of what's happened with Conan. Damn you Jay Leno and your evilness. I swear if they man had just stepped down last summer and not even bothered with the 10 pm show which he has come out saying he knew would flop this wouldn't be an issue right now. I've said it before and I will say it again. I think Jay Leno stinks. Seriously. I will not watch him on The Tonight Show and will continue to watch Letterman as I have been forever. One last note. You should all be watching Jimmy Fallon. He's got a nervous energy that for some reason really works on his show. Plus he's got The Roots and just for that it's worth watching.

Goodbye Eastwick

My mom and I are both avid TV watchers..me more than her naturally but we spoke awhile ago about the Fall TV season and she mentioned she had watched Eastwick. She said she was a week behind and I told her not to worry about catching up to it because it would probably be cancelled by the seventh week and to not waste her time. What do I find out about an hour ago...Ugly Betty is moving into Eastwick's Wednesday 10pm slot which means that Eastwick is on the edge and probably going to fall off into cancellation. To be fair I was never that jazzed to start watching it but by the halfway point of each episode I was committed and didn't seem to mind finishing the episode. Then about two episodes ago my DVR was going to purge itself and I sacrificed Eastwick before other shows I'm actually in committed relationships with. I don't feel bad at all...Lindsay Price and Sara Rue will find work elsewhere by the Fall I'm sure. Let us not weep for them. Let us weep for the happy return of Ugly Betty to a decent night with great lead ins. It totally works after Modern Family and Cougar Town. Two shows which I am VERY happy to have on the air. Modern Family makes my heart sing, seriously. So goodbye Eastwick and hello Betty.

The Lip Licker is Back!

AH! I was was watching Grey's a couple weeks ago and Kim Raver is now on the show as a new cardiac surgeon at Seattle Grace. Good for Christina but bad for me who's watching. To be fair at first I was happy because it was nice to see a familiar face doing a familiar thing but then she did it again and I was less than thrilled. For those of you who don't know or don't remember, Kim Raver has a habit of licking her lips while she's acting. It bothers the peas out of me for some reason and she used to do it all the time on Lipstick Jungle. Rest in peace you show that brought me Kirby the delightful Robert Buckley. Back to Kim. I love her as an actor and she's great at what she does but I wonder if anyone has brought the lip licking to her attention. I'd go and find the clip from the show but I don't have the energy and before you know it the link will be dead to watch it anyway. You're just going to have to believe me or maybe you've seen the licking in action. This post is beyond right now so I'm going to cut it here. Peace out.

You're Killing Me!

What in the world is going on at NBC? I just read that Southland has been cancelled. I really liked that show. It sucks because it was cancelled two weeks before it's second season premiere. That's right, two weeks before it was going to come back on. I really want to know what people are doing over there at NBC. I have seen more promos for the wedding on The Office than anything else on that network. It's great Pam and Jim are getting married, whoopee. I like The Office, but I like other shows too and it would be great if I could see more ads for the other shows they've got. I've tried to watch Mercy and Trauma but they're not really interesting me but since I can't stop watching TV I still tune in. Hell, I'm even watching Eastwick and I told my mother the other week not to get too attached to it because it probably wasn't going to last past episode seven. Eastwick is an ABC show and while I like what they've got going I'm not terribly thrilled I haven't seen a lot of Ugly Betty love going around. I'm tired of becoming invested in a show and having it taken off the air. Why even bother showing them in the first place. NBC is circling the drain and it doesn't look like anyone is trying to stop it. Yay, Thursday night is a great night but you can't survive on one good night a week. I want an apology from NBC and a written note that says they will order a full season of Chuck and that they won't cancel it two weeks before it's supposed to air. What are the odds that's going to happen?

Time Warner Cable Can Suck My Balls

I got a letter in the mail last week from Time Warner Cable stating that some things were going to be changing with my DVR. The most exciting thing for me was that for certain shows if I started watching them after they had started I would have the option to play them from the beginning. Super awesome, I like it. The letter also said some of the menu options would be changing and that these would take effect in the coming weeks. Cut to today, I turn on the Weather Channel in the morning and notice the menu bar has changed. I don't have enough time to check it out and leave the house. I come back this evening to turn on the TV in my living room and lo and behold I click the list button to pick a show to watch (Raising the Bar) and realize the whole thing is completely different. I can no longer decide which shows will be erased first if my DVR is running out of room, it decides that the oldest show gets kicked off first. It has decided that every first run show is still a first run show all week. So when Mad Men comes on at 10pm Sunday it's a new episode. This damn new programming has my DVR thinking that every airing of the show is new and will soon be kicking off old shows I haven't watched yet to re-record an episode I already have. That also means that I will get 4/5 Daily Show's a day. I have asked it to not record The Daily Show anymore because I can remember to tape or just watch it outright. As for Mad Men and every other show that it will be re-recording all week I just have to do it manually for now. Hopefully a lot of very angry customers will be calling in (as I plan to do tomorrow) and this will all be fixed very soon. I'm not sure the exact magnitude of how upset I am is getting across. I have time and time again spoken of how much in love I am with my DVR and I feel like it's turned into something completely different and if it doesn't change back we may have to break up. Seriously, I can't take it and it's only been one day. I don't want to have to go back to Tivo, I liked what I had. We'll see what happens in the coming days, I guess I can be happy that this is happening now and not the first few weeks of the Fall TV season. It's coming up and while I'm not super excited about a lot of the new shows a few of them have me smiling already. Glee, Community and Flash Forward I'm talking about you.

Zack Morris!

OK, so I've been watching Conan every night since last week because I feel like I need to support him. I don't think he got the best reviews last week but I think people are just being cruel. Conan is funny and I think he's doing a great job. He even brought Andy back! Andy is back on TV and I couldn't be happier. Today was my day off and I watched Conan last night, I watched him live people and that in and of itself should tell you just how dedicated I am to him. I never watch TV live. Ever.

Well, I was watching Conan and running around on the Internet and his show ended and Jimmy Fallon's began. I enjoy Jimmy every now and then. Slow Jamming the News is truly inspired. Lick it for 10, it makes me smile. However, last night Jimmy endeared himself to me. He had Mark Paul Gosseslar aka Zack Morris on in character. That's right an entire interview done as Zack Morris. It was genius. I was just sitting there kind of in shock because it was so perfect. The hands in the jeans, the time out even the cell phone. I swear a reunion would be awesome and finally a reunion for my generation that I would watch. I don't think I'm ready for a Wonder Years or a Full House or hell even a Step by Step one. I'm not going to lie, I totally watched TGIF. Every week. Saved by the Bell, addicted to it and I would love to see them back together. Think it'll happen?

Squidbilies

I love my DVR. Seriously. How else would I have known that Squidbilies was coming back on? I love me some squidbilies. It's so random. Granny? Ridiculous. If you met me I'm not sure that you would peg me for a fan of it but I am. I even have a tape of Squidbilies episodes. I'm waaaaay too cheap to buy DVDs of most shows and I only own sets of Arrested Development and the O.C. I just tape things. I'm not going to turn this into a love rhapsody about my VCR although I think everyone should have one. I don't know about DVD recorders but I think my VHS machine is tops. Back to the s-bilies. I made my dad watch it a long time ago and he thought I was nuts. Kind of like he thought I was nuts when I came home from college and made him watch Sifl and Olly. I think he just says yes so we can bond together but maybe also because deep down he knows I watch the coolest shit. C'mon I bet if you've watched either one of these you'll probably dig the other. I haven't even watched the new episode of Squidbilies yet. I came home tonight and saw that my DVR loved me and was too excited to not share the news with you. It says it came on at 1:15am this morning/last night so please look out for it on the Cartoon Network. I have to go run now and catch 10 minutes of genius. See ya later.

Cancellations

A bunch of shows I've loved are being axed now. Medium, Samantha Who?, Life, My Name is Earl and I'm sure they're going to try and get rid of Ugly Betty too because they moved it to Friday at 9pm. Luckily though, two shows did manage to get picked back up and they are Southland and Chuck. I'm truly happy about Chuck because I do completely love that show. Matty came over on Monday all year and we watched Gossip Girl and Chuck back to back. We had a lovely year doing that and even though Chuck won't be on Monday nights anymore I'm still so happy it wasn't cut.

I am extremely unhappy about Samantha Who?. It was doing so well on Monday nights after Dancing with the Stars and then they shuffled it around the schedule and people stopped watching. I always read about people who think they could do a better job with the primetime schedule and believe me I think I could too. First, I would axe JAY LENO from the network. They got it right when they gave Conan a starting date which meant Leno had an end date. It was so easy to get rid of him! I've run this thought into the ground in a couple of other posts so I'll leave it at that. They would have had an extra 5 hours of content to fill and they could have saved Medium. They have treated Medium so poorly over the past couple of years. Bringing it back midseason, barely promoting it. When it first started it got great ratings but then they started shuffling it around and we all know what that does. I have heard though that CBS might pick it up and put it on Fridays after Ghost Whisperer. I'll watch CBS, they have Simon Baker, I'll do anything they ask.

Now about Life. WTF. It was a great show. Not your average cop drama, it had a great cast and it was funny. Tell me the last time a cop show was funny...intentionally. I'm too upset to write anymore and will just say that My Name is Earl was working for me. I still watched it every week and it was still loved over here at my house, Unfortunately this has all been decided and there's nothing left to do. Although there's a very small chance that another network will pick up Earl, I'm not counting on it. It's not Scrubs. Which I am very happy that ABC picked up last year and even happier that they are bringing it back midseason with Better Off Ted. I love that show. It's weird and funny and I am so into weird. Hello...Life. I'm not going to cry. I'm not.

Southland Tales

Finally got around to watching Southland tonight. Ryan Atwood is back! Okay, so he isn't playing Ryan anymore but since I'm one disc away from finishing my rewatch of the entire O.C. I'll be calling him Ryan from here on out. He will always be Ryan, kind of like Janiston will always be Rachel. Except for the fact that Ryan is super awesome and Janiston is kind of on the wane for me. I'm not here to talk about her though, tonight is all about Ryan. Okay, he was always kind of hot on the O.C. but in the past few years he got waaaay hotter. I don't think I'm going to be able to be objective about this show, or even be able to talk about anything other than a returning piece. He's such a piece. Damn, let's move on.

Just about every actor on this show has you doing a double take. There's this actor Kevin Alejandro who was on Ugly Betty playing Hilda's main squeeze but died and this short lived but very much watched by me show Drive. Regina King has been in just about everything. Shawn Hatosy, he's been everywhere, plus he was in a Justin Timberlake video. Tom Everett Scott who just finished up a short stint on the now defunct Cashmere Mafia but is really just he drummer who stole Liv Tyler's heart in That Think You Do! There's this one guy who I saw in the episode who I remember clearly from Speed, he's the last guy in the elevator and he tries to get the lady out and when she refused starts jumping up to my old piece Keanu to get out. His name is Patrick Fischler and I have now committed his name to memory. I bet he gets people walking up to him all the time asking him if they went to high school together. He's got that look about him. There's tons of other people on the show and I'm sure they've all made crazy impressions on me throughout the years. I always remember the craziest things.

Now for the show. It was alright, since we all know I'll watch something just for a piece it's clear I'll be tuning in every week. I'm also a fan of cop dramas. I'm a total law and order slut. Can't get enough of it. I still remember the first time I caught a string of reruns of reruns on TNT and every other network that used to play it 10 times a day about 6 years ago. I kept thinking to myself, there's no way I've actually watched them all...especially since I had only started watching them a year prior to that. In my defense though, I'm crazy so this all makes sense to me. Have I digressed from the topic once again? Shameful. Why are you even still here reading this? Basically let me just tell you this. The show was ok but since NBC is giving up it's 10pm slots to douchbag Leno I don't know where it's going to end up on the schedule next fall. It's not like they're going to move it to sister station USA. That just doesn't make sense. Here's what does. Get rid of Leno. They had their chance and didn't. I'm not going down this road again, I can't. But it's still making me angry! Enough fighting onscreen. Thursday 10pm, NBC check it out.

LIFE is Good

OMG. I am so in love with Life right now. It's my appointment television for Wednesday nights. Lost is still on my radar but I watch that whenever now. I still haven't even watched last week's episode yet. I'll get to it tomorrow. Maybe I'll even write about it. First, let me clue you in to what I find one of the most refreshing hours on television every week. I'm going to admit that one of my favorite parts of the show is the music. It's awesome. It's not the hip indie song of the week like they play over the end of every episode of Grey's Anatomy. It's inspired. Of course every now and then a show will play a song you either love or will start to love, but this show pulls some of my favorites regularly. I think I want to be best friends with the music supervisor Tricia Halloran. If you're out there please get in touch with me...I believe we'd hit it off.

The cast is entertaining and I'm actually involved in the story line. It makes me wonder if it's actually going to survive the cuts at the end of the season. With Jay Leno coming on at 10pm every night there's not that much room left for actual television. I don't care for Jay Leno and having him on an hour and a half earlier isn't going to make me like him any more. I hope it makes the cut. I honestly watch a lot of NBC, I watch it Sunday through Friday but something tells me Jay is going to put the network in a tailspin. Who's going to want to watch him 5 nights a week? Remember when Regis did Millionaire all the time? It got old, and Jay is nowhere near as funny as Letterman...I only watch him to catch his guests and Ross the Intern. I can actually tune in to Letterman and be entertained by his banter. Basically, Jay sucks but Life rules. Watch it before Jay runs the network into the ground.

A Hot Piece

DUDE! Stringer Bell just walked into The Office! I love this man. Seriously folks. I love him. He makes me happy. I hope he's a recurring character. I could watch this man read the phone book, he's jut that good. I was a die hard fan of The Wire and was crushed when he bit the dust. There's really nothing else I'd like to add to this so I'm just going to leave it at that. I could look at this picture for hours...maybe you could too.

Idol Top 13

Susan and I wrote each other back and forth for the entire two hours of last nights top 13. In lieu of commentary solely by me, I've decided to include our conversation in its entirety. Lucky you.

Susan: Whoa wait til you see Paula tonight. She talks like she is on crack.
Me: What's with the bird on her neck?
S: She's Channeling bjork minus the artsiness. It's so great they're doing MJ. They're all gonna massacre his songs.
M: Probably but maybe Anoop will surprise us.
S: Maybe. I didn't really like lil rounds' version. I guess I'm more honest than the judges.
M: True. I agree with Simon though. I hate what she's wearing too.
M: Paula's had some work done on her eyes. I'm convinced that's what's different about her.
S: This Kris Allen is cute but I hated when he sang man in the mirror. John Mayer better watch out. God I hate John Mayer.
M: Haha. This is my favorite song from Dangerous! He can never replace Michael.
S: I just though he sucked during that week. Girls are gonna be mad that he's married to that blondie.
M: Whatevs. People can get divorced. That's what they're all thinking.
M: Did you see his wife's face after Simon said he should have kept his wife hidden? Classic.
S: Dude Simon just said something about the wife and she was pissed. Alison should win this whole thing.
M: We're on the same wavelength...awesome. She should win. So don't forget to vote.
S: Well he's totally right. Don't these contestants know who votes? Simon is just giving strategic advice.
S: Omg. If you're gonna do a classic like Beat It, you either do it totally different or don't do it at all.
M: Well, I suppose Anoop is out.
S: He sucked ass before he even began singing. don't these people have brains or advisers?
M: They have stylists for the clothes but i guess not for anything else.
S: You know everyone during rehearsals was telling him it was a good idea and then making fun of him two minutes later.
M: You are so mean. I actually didn't think it was so bad.
S: He was awful. How dare he even try to sing Beat It! is he gonna do thriller next week? How about Bad?
M: Wait, I wasn't talking about Anoop anymore, he wasn't great but I was saying Jorge wasn't so bad.
S: This Megan girl is gorgeous. Simon like her because of that. I hope she's good.
M: I don't love what she's wearing. She seems so happy. Why?
S: She's probably high. Her brother just turned 21. She never dresses well. That song was so bad.
M: You summed her up perfectly.
S: I love this guy because he's like Liza Minelli meets Fallout Boy. just so funny. He sings every song the same.

S: Paula is having an attack. I love that song. I danced to it in 6th grade. I'm surprised Simon loved it though.
M: He had to pick something to all out love tonight. I still remember watching the video premiere while we were eating dinner. We all stopped moving.
S: Haha. Totally. I mean Macaulay Culkin was in it. Those were the glory days of music videos.
M: How are they going to get through two people in 12 minutes?
S: It'll be a duet. Haha. No idea. This Matt guy is the really poor man's JT. And JT is a poor man's MJ.
M: Seriously. But I like him. Likability goes a long way with me. Plus he's not ruining the song. Couldn't the world use another JT?
S:Yeah he's good just really nervous. And just not good looking enough but he can't help it, I guess. I'm still pissed about Anoop.
M: You know I hear they couldn't use the regular #'s with 13 at the end because it's a sex line. I'd be pissed if I was 12, especially if I was cut.
S: Yeah that sucks. I do love the song Matt just sang. I'm gonna have to dig out my MJ cds after this.
M: Do half the people have kids?
M: Ok. Who are we voting for? I'm voting for Danny and Allison and possibly Kris cause he's cute.
S: Yeah. It's for pity votes. I will vote for Danny, Alison, Matt, Adam and Alexis. Is that too much?
M: Nah, I was gonna vote for baby JT and someone else who's name I've already forgotten.
S: Haha. Well I got all my votes through except Danny. He was number 3 right?
M: Yep. Yay, we voted. Now who do you think is going to get kicked off? I pick Anoop and either Megan or Alexis with a small chance of Lil.
S: I Liked Alexis. I say Anoop and hopefully Megan or Jasmine. Why oh why am I now addicted to this show?
M: Because it's awesome and we have the power to kick people off. Sometimes I wish we voted for who we wanted kicked off. That would be sweet.

What. The. Hell

DISCLAIMER: I wrote the first two paragraphs last Tuesday afternoon the day after the finale of The Bachelor...everything else I wrote today. I will be a good blogger this week. I'm going to blog everyday. Too little too late perhaps but whatever, I'm going to try.

I haven't blogged in ages and on top of that I think the last time I blogged about The Bachelor was the second or third episode. Quick thoughts on episodes past. For the longest time I did not remember that Jillian was the hot dog girl. I seriously didn't. Plus I also couldn't remember anything else about her nor cared enough to do any research to find out. That's really all I wanted to share. Now on to last nights $#!!-storm of a 3 hour couch tour. I cannot believe I sat there and watched all that crap last night.

I watched the finale but didn't start watching it at 8, I was finishing up a rewatch of Far From Heaven. I hadn't seen it in ages and for some reason it just seemed like a good idea to watch it again. It was and Julianne Moore is sublime. So, I started around 8:30, I watched it from the beginning thanks to my DVR and since I started late I got to fast forward through all the lame commercials. Score. What happened next was so weird but I didn't catch my mistake until the commercial break. The Finale ended and my TV went straight from Melissa splashing around in the pool with Jason and Ty to Melissa in the back seat of the limo crying her eyes out about Jason dumping her. I watched for about 4 minutes and then the commercials came on. I pressed fast forward and my DVR said it was at the 10:30 mark. Whoops. When the finale finished my DVR went straight to the live airing of the after the rose special. Basically I stumbled in 25 minutes late. Not so much of a disaster because it all seemed to work out in my head. Oh well, I rewound and started from the beginning.

Everyone on the planet has already gone into depth about the douchiness of what Jason did to Melissa so I don't really want to get into it. It pissed me off and after a week to cool off while it still does I'm going to let it go. Jason proved to me that no matter how sweet and caring and loving a guy may be he's still going to be a total ass at some point. He ruined my faith that somewhere out there good guys still exist. He said on Jimmy Kimmel last week that he was kind of obligated to put it all out there on TV but damn, I would have found a way around it. Melissa is coming off well and last night's Dancing with the Stars only helped. She looked good and could possibly be there through the end.

Molly though, the only thing I could think when they brought her out to be re-wooed by Jason was...Molly you in danger girl. She bought into it though. She fell for him all over again. Totally fine, I just wish they hadn't kissed on the couch 10 minutes after he told her he kicked Melissa to the curb. Shame on you Molly, c'mon, not just yet. This is all last weeks news though so I'm going to end it here. But wait, Jillian was picked as the new Bachelorette so I'll be back in May when it premieres because I'm for sure going to blogging about that. Definitely.

Dollhouse Fake out

So I totally tried watching Dollhouse last night. I wanted to love it and I wanted it to not make me fall asleep but it did. It didn’t make me fall asleep solely on its own, I was beat and I was lying down. Now that I think about it, maybe it was completely my fault. I didn’t watch it Tuesday like I said I was going to; instead I watched Medium and American Idol. Shit went down and I couldn’t watch nearly as much TV as I originally wanted to. It’s cool, I’ll just catch up this weekend somehow. Haha. The Oscars are this weekend and I’m throwing a small party for friends. It should be tres exciting.

On to TV matters. Have I ever mentioned here that I absolutely adore Medium? I think it has one of the best families on television. More realistic than most. As long as you trim out all the psychic abilities the mom and daughters share. Great TV parents. Strict but not too strict and if I had to pick a set of parents on TV right now they would definitely be at the top of my list. I think my absolute choice for number 1 would be, well, I can’t think of one! They’re all way too dysfunctional. Don’t get me wrong, I expect all families to be a bit dysfunctional but not to the degree that some of these shows go to.

Let’s take the weird two father thing they’ve got going on over at Nip/Tuck. Christian is Matt’s true biological father and Sean is the man he grew up thinking was his father. They’re so twisted up in their own lives they barely had time to keep Matt’s together. Having a baby with Kimber? Going out with a neo-nazi? Engaging in a love affair with a transsexual? I suppose we’ll just chalk all that up to the VERY creative minds of the writers. As I’m sitting here think about all of this I realize just how crazy this show is. A friend came over to visit recently and since she’s been out of the country for quite awhile I was updating her on the goings on over at McNamara/Troy. That is hands down the most out there show on TV. They don’t miss anything. Christian is undergoing breast cancer treatment. I think Sean has been sliced twice. First by the carver and then by his crazy manager last season. Julia became a lesbian. Liz switched teams for a hot minute and banged body parts with Christian. WTF?

I don’t care though. Them being crazy brings me back week after week. It’s so damn entertaining. Plus there are always the surgeries. I'm always transfixed and then I have to look away for a second because I get a little grossed out. I've heard that the next season is going to be the last. Something tells me that the show will definitely go out with a bang. Considering the storylines so far, it's probably going to be something huge.

Lazy Blogger

Seriously? I haven't posted in two weeks? I'd pretend I was ashamed with myself but really, I'm too lazy to be ashamed. Haha. I'm going to try my hardest to be on top of this now. Yesterday was my birthday and I like to throw myself a party every year so I'll blame the laziness on me putting my time and energy into planning that. Enough excuses, now it's time to get back to blogging. I know you must all want to know about my thoughts on the Bachelor and why I haven't watched more than two episodes of The United States of Tara. The reason that's strange is because Toni Collette is one of my favorite actresses and she's on TV weekly! What's up with that, that true laziness. Not watching something you enjoyed with an actor you love because you're lazy. Remember how I said I was going to catch up on Fringe? I watched two episodes a couple of weeks ago and now that new episodes are coming on again I've got 7 that's right 7 backed up on the DVR. Shameful! I'd watch them first but I'm going to watch Dollhouse now. Everything about that show makes me happy but I know it's probably not going to last, especially after I read about the numbers it pulled in last Friday. I shall keep my hopes up and be off to watch the pilot now. Fingers crossed it lasts the full season. Eliza and Joss deserve at least that.

Lost Update

So it looks like Matty isn't going to be joining us for Lost Talk this season. Matty has fallen out of love with Lost. I completely understand. At this point I'm just counting down until the end of next season when all of our questions will finally be answered (hopefully). This isn't to say that I won't be watching anymore. I will definitely be watching every week. Maybe we'll see a little bit more of Mr. Widmore as a young man? Speaking of Mr. Widmore, actually the actor Alan Dale that plays him, I've been rewatching the entire series of The O.C. I'm just about finished with the second season and he's playing a rich old obnoxious man just as he is in Lost, kind of like he was on Ugly Betty. I didn't mention this for any other reason except that his character Caleb just kicked it on The O.C. and I needed to share. Completely off topic.

Back to Lost, I just want some answers. That's all I've ever wanted. We got one last week when we found out Mr. Widmore was once on the island as a young man, but we still don't know why. They answer questions with questions. Are they just going to answer everything in the last fifteen minutes of the last episode during the final season? Will we ever find out what Sawyer whispered in Kate's ear? Will Kate choose between Sawyer and Jack? Is Claire still out there on the island running around with her dad? Too many questions and Matty won't be here to deconstruct it with me. He decided he just wanted to watch them all back to back when it's over. I think it'll be spoiled by then and he'll wish he watched it week after week. He's a strong willed guy but I think he'll break soon. Anyone care to take bets?

Season Premiere Tonight!

I'm not even going to pretend that I understand Lost completely. I would need to watch every episode at least 3 times for that to happen. I'm not going to do that. For those of you that have been with me since Lost was on last season, you'll know that I do Lost Talks with my friend Matt. It's where we go over each episode together and crazily try to probe what's really going on. I'm sure in fact I know there are other blogs out there that are really going in depth with the theories and whatnot...that's not going to happen here. I wouldn't say I'm a casual viewer because I watch every episode and do get completely involved with the story. I suppose I would call myself a dedicated viewer. I'm just not going to lose my mind trying to figure out why these people are all on the island in the first place and what it is exactly that those numbers mean. I care, just not nearly that much. Alright, so Matt's going to watch Lost either today, tomorrow or at least before Sunday and then we're going to chat online about it and then I'm going to post our chat. Easy enough. Crazy

So I'm watching The Bachelor and these girls are super bitchy. Seriously. How can you find a wife amongst these women? Half of them are not acting particularly ladylike at all. This is insane. Jason, I used to live near Seattle and I'm fairly certain that I know at least two people that could change your life for the better. Leave these women alone. Megan is such a drama queen and should go back to teaching Lacrosse wherever the hell she's from. That's harsh but Jason's looking for his forever and I don't think she's it.

I'm only going to mention one of the dates this week because it was kind of awkward for me to watch. It was Stephanie's daughter's birthday and Jason flew her in to be with her mommy on her special day. A truly lovely gesture but I kind of got the feeling watching their play date at Legoland that this could all go down in a bad way if she gets cut. She's also coming across to me as a bit of a vampire. That's not the word I want to use but how else can I explain that I feel when she looks at him she wants to suck the life right out of him. It's true! Her husband died in a tragic accident and she's a single mom and while that grants her a free pass for a bit it doesn't mean there's a lifelong partnership there. I don't see this one going all the way and that's my final answer.

Now we come to the end. What kind of rose ceremony was that? Has anyone ever walked out of one before to go throw chunks in the powder room? Shannon is nuts by the way. If I were Jason there is not a chance I would have let her stay past the first week. It was super creepy having her recite back all of his family info. She should go! Too bad he kept her. Three ladies left this week and only two left with their dignity intact. Natalie's exit interview was horrific. She did not carry herself like a classy young lady should in the limo. Spouting expletives and going on and on about how your know you're beautiful and a catch isn't going to get you anywhere honey. I suggest you watch Erica's so the next time you're on a reality show (my guess is Blind Date) you'll know how to act.

Samantha Who What When Where Why How?

WTF?!? This week and last week Samantha Who? was supposed to air but has been preempted by an extra half hour of The Bachelor. I know I love The Bachelor and an extra half hour a week with those broads (yes I do mean broads) and our Bach Jason is welcome, I'd still love to watch Sam. I actually miss the show. Andrea and the gang always make me chuckle and I love the absence of the laugh track. 2.5 Men take note of this please. If a show is funny they shouldn't need canned laughter to point out the funny. It should be evident. My TV guide says that Sam will be back next week with an all new half hour of comedy and since I want to be an optimistic person I'm going to believe it. If they skip it again I'm writing a letter to the head of programming. You bet your ass I will. I don't like being toyed with especially when my TV is involved. ABC, you better watch your back.

Cancelled...But Probably a Good Thing

Unfortunately it was announced today that Prison Break will be ending it's 4 year run this spring. I have to say I really did enjoy this show. I'm also going to admit that the reason I started watching in the first place was to see Wentworth Miller every week. What a piece. Luckily the show didn't stink and I kept watching. They added William Fichtner to the cast two years ago and that only helped keep me interested. I shall miss the show but I think it's better that they're ending it now on a high note rather than a year or two down the line when it's starting to fizzle out. Four more episodes have already been shot and hopefully this whole story will end on a positive note. Lincoln back with his son LJ, Sucre with Maricruz. But most of all I'd like to see Michael and Sara find a way to make it work.

People's Choice Awards

I hate the People's Choice Awards. I hate it when the people know they're going to win. It's so anticlimactic. It's basically just a venue so people can hock their respective shows, movies, cd's or whatever else. Plus you always know who's going to win because they're in the audience. Clearly Adam Sandler was going to win something, he was in the first row. Easy in easy out. Take home the first award and never come back. I'll admit I've only watched about 20 minutes of it because I was out all night watching movies. I saw through 3 movies back to back this evening. It started with The Wrestler, mixed in with Revolutionary Road and finished off with Gran Torino. My time was better spent watching the movies than this show. Don't worry, I'll get through it at some point tomorrow. Right before I start watching the Critics Choice Awards. Have I mentioned I love awards shows? The Golden Globes are coming on Sunday night and it's my favorite awards show of them all. TV and movie people in one big room with booze, the best of both worlds. Maybe I won't finish this and I'll save myself for the Globes. Good Choice.

First Round

Alright, I watched. I'm going to be honest, I wasn't blown away by anyone. I didn't like the fact that women were throwing their children in his face as a reason they had a connection. Hey, we both have brown hair, let's get married! Perhaps I'm just jealous of all of them vying for their chance of a happy ending with our great bachelor Jason. Nah, I'm not ready to move to Seattle with a man and his son. I'm way too young for that. TMI.

Whew, I got that out of my system. I'm not going to name names with these ladies just yet, no point in getting to know all their names just yet because this week it went from 25 to 15 and next week it'll be 15 to 10. Once they get to 10 I'll start committing them to memory. I was totally freaked out by the hot dog girl. Thank god Jason put mustard on it first otherwise she might have flipper her shit. But what about the vision board lady. Creepy and totally over the top. The wedding coordinator's exit interview was one of the weirdest I've seen. I'm sorry she didn't get picked but hot damn lady, you realize this is being taped right? Can you really plan a wedding to someone you've never met before? I take that back, I'm sure people have ideas of what they want their wedding to look like but don't they usually keep that to themselves or write it down in a journal? I have so many questions. Sheesh.

Since it was just the first episode we really didn't see all that much. It's not until they go on some dates and have real one on one time that this is really going to get interesting. One of my favorite parts of The Bachelor is in the premiere episode when they show footage of the upcoming season. It's always fun to try and figure out who makes it to the end. This time though it looks like it's going to get really good. What's up with Deanna making a comeback? Was Jesse not really what you wanted? Too bad, you suck, any sane person would have picked Jason. I cannot let that go. What's interesting though is that in one of the upcoming episodes it looks like Jason breaks down and starts crying. Too cute! Okay, maybe not cute perhaps a little bit more tragic but I don't care. Bring on the tears man and make it good.

Premieres Tonight

Scrubs and Nip/Tuck are back on the air tonight. Talk about awesome. I don't even know what to write. I'm too obsessed with nitpicking last night's episode of The Bachelor. I will say that the gang from Sacred Heart Hospital has been sorely missed. I'm mad at ABC for canceling Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone but happy they picked up a great show that NBC dropped. Seriously, what are the people at NBC smoking? Whatevs. Let's move on. Nip/Tuck is coming back on and I just can't wait. I love love love this show. I can't wait to see what they've got up their sleeves this season. The only thing I can remember right now is Sean getting stabbed in the season finale. We'll find out what happened with that and so much more tonight. Can't wait.

Heinous Beauty

Tonight, Matty and I watched Gossip Girl and then I forced him to watch True Beauty. What a waste of an hour. How could anyone watch this show with a straight face? These weren't beautiful people, they were no talent hacks who could barely win the $10 in the beauty pageant in the game of Monopoly. I wouldn't even dare suggest that they were ugly though because then I wouldn't be beautiful from the inside. I would be ugly and as Vanessa Minnilo clearly stated at the end, true beauty comes from within.

Matty thinks Ray was kind of hot and I thought Monique wasn't so bad. Too bad she's a biology major who dances in clubs. That kind of stupidity is probably why she's on the show. I can't believe I'm still writing about this. Especially because I should be finishing up watching the Bachelor instead of wasting energy posting about a show I will probably never see the end of. What's the point really? To find out who's going to get to be on People's list of 100 Most Beautiful People? Bleech. I don't really care. So here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to finish watching the Bachelor and forget that I ever even watched this show. If I wanted to watch catty bitches tear each other down I'd switch over to MTV and we all know that ain't gonna happen. So, go to bed and tomorrow I'll have a fresh new post all about Jason and the 25 women (ha!) that are vying for his heart. Sleep tight folks.

Confession

I actually never watched this season's finale of Project Runway. I was watching the debate with a friend the night it aired and told myself I would watch it when I got home that night. Because I knew some of my friends might be watching and I didn't want them to spoil it for me I sent a text message around saying I wasn't watching it live and not to ruin the ending. Did it work? Yes, for the friends I sent it to. Another friend who I didn't even know watched Runway managed to kill it for me. I cannot tell you how pissed I was. I didn't even feel like watching because I wanted Korto to win. Leanne is a great designer and all but I kept feeling Korto was continually being shafted for the top prize every week. She was always coming in second and she didn't fail to come in second in the end. I won't be disappointed for Leanne though, she did have a great collection. It's all up to the discretion of the judges and the producers who have input all the way until the end. Sheesh, there's no way Stella would have lasted as long as she did otherwise. She was good TV. And, who doesn't love a little leath-uh?

Hello all! Happy New Year! I made two resolutions and one of them is to stop lazing about and get back to writing the blog. Two of my favorite shows are coming back on next week and damn if I'm not going to be here to write about them. Scrubs and Nip/Tuck are both premiering on Tuesday night and I am looking forward to them in a way that shouldn't even be humanly possible. I was on the street last week and across from where I was standing was a huge poster for the new season of Nip/Tuck. In the immortal words of Rachel Zoe, "I die!" All I have to do now is actually wait until Tuesday. I don't know how I'll be able to hold it all in, but I'm going to have to try. I hope everyone had a fantastic New Year's and here's to me keeping this going throughout the year. Cheers!

Jason's Back!

I'm super excited. Jason is the new Bachelor and I can't wait for the new season. People magazine online says that Jason found true love and whatnot and is super happy and all that other stuff. I'm just waiting to see the trashy girls that will inevitably make up half the women he has to choose from. I'm not crazy which is why I haven't signed up yet. I would never forget that the cameras were there and I'd probably talk to the camera guys the whole time and find true love with one of them rather than the bachelor I'm supposed to find irresistible.

Jason seems like the real deal and from all the moments I remember he shared with D he could be the first bachelor to actually marry the woman he chooses. I'm not holding my breath, I mean he's probably still only allowed to talk to her on the phone and probably see her every once in awhile with a paid ABC employee around to watch their every move. I could be wrong, they could already be broken up. I just hope deep down that Jason isn't another Bob. I would hate that. I just want Jason to take his women on fantasy dates and to pick the right one. I don't want some lady to be this season's Jason and ruin it for me. It seems like it always gets down to the end and they pick the wrong one. I have faith in this man that he'll make the right choice and luckily for us the show premieres in 3 weeks so we don't have to wait too long to find out.

Late Night Viewing/Laziness

Didn't I say I was going to stop being lazy? Where have I been? In my defense I have been out the last two nights and haven't had a chance to watch any TV which is a crime. I should never go two days without watching Television. Ok, I lied, I did watch TV but it was in bed on my way to sleep and for the past two nights I've managed to catch old episodes of Friends, Will & Grace and Malcom in the Middle. All old favorites of mine. I was a huge MITM fan and I still get a little misty eyed that it was cancelled. I mean seriously, Frankie Muniz is never going to get another job doing anything remotely worthwhile. They could have given it another season or two. I'll stop complaining about this and I'll just watch the reruns. There's no point in harping on it, I should be happy that I got the 7 seasons I did out of it. The real reason I'm here though is to get on about the shows that are currently airing new episodes so let's get to it.

I Actually Watched a Commercial

So I'm minding my own business watching last night's Prison Break and who's voice do I hear? John Krasinski's for the new Blackberry Storm. At first I wasn't sure but then I rewound the commercial and then it hit me, I was right. I'm not going to hate on him for it, there's nothing wrong with lending your star power for a couple extra bucks. Who wouldn't want to sit in a sound booth for a little while reading some words and then get paid handsomely for it. Hell, where do I sign up for this job? I could play Jim and do his voice over job. I've got a bunch of faces I could throw at the cameras on The Office. I get in trouble enough for throwing faces at people now, I'd love to get paid for it. As for my voice, it doesn't bother me so why would it bother all of America for 30 seconds at a time. I am in the wrong line of work people. I need an agent. Stat!

Lazy Blogger

I am the world's laziest blogger. There really is no other explanation as to why I haven't blogged in weeks. It's not like I haven't watched any television. I've watched tons of television actually. To be fair though I am super way behind with Fringe. I'm 5 episodes behind which is completely crazy because I've liked all the episodes I've seen so far. This afternoon I'm going to catch up and watch all the saved ones on my DVR.

I left for Thanksgiving with the idea that I would post at least three or four times over the week I took off but that never happened. I got together with my family and barely touched a computer long enough each day to even think about posting. Then I didn't watch that much TV and what little I did didn't warrant a post so I didn't post at all. I got back from my vacay and was so used to not posting that I didn't bother to report my finding on watching Britney's return with her On The Record documentary. In the old days of my blogging I would have pounced on this and fully broken it down. It's too late now and everyone around the world has given their perspective and I doubt I could add anything new to the fray.

I will try my best to keep up with the blogging and I'll even work on weekends this month because I know around New Year's I'll probably fall off the wagon all over again. There should be a 2 step program for people like me. Step 1: Stop being lazy. Step 2: Write your blog. So simple. Let's see if I can do it.

On The Chopping Block

Three of the shows that I'm loving right now are in danger of being cancelled. Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone are all on their way out. This really isn't that big of news to me, I didn't really expect any of them to last past this season. I was truly hoping that Pushing Daisies would eventually find a respectable following of people who adore great quirky shows. This is not the case and it will probably be gone by January.

So this is what happens. They give a show about a season to see if it sticks and if it doesn't they kill it. Eli Stone was a mid season replacement last Spring so I suppose it doesn't figure in but the other two were definitely hurt by the writers strike. Daisies had a decent audience before the strike but then it didn't come back on when it was over and probably lost it's momentum. DSM never really had a chance but I was intrigued by it and just kept watching week after week. Sometimes I start watching a new show and out of habit keep watching. Private Practice would fall in that category, I don't love it but I keep watching it because it's on.

It's a sad day for television when two of the more interesting premises on primetime are given the old heave ho. As much as I love a procedural I also love a show that can't be missed. I like being involved in a storyline that has to be followed instead of a one off episode. Apparently ABC doesn't care about people like me. I'm almost over caring about all these shows anymore. I wonder what their midseason replacements are going to be like. I can tell you not one of them is going to be as inventive and whimsical as Daisies. Not one. They better have something great up their sleeves because I will boycott a network if I have to.

Reality Time

I'm going to do it. I'm going to start a new reality show and stick with it. I tried with Stylista but only got through the premiere episode. There's a lot of TV to watch and I didn't want to miss out on any of it because I was watching a bunch of nitwits try and win a stupid editorial job with a crazy boss lady. Instead I'm going to watch Top Chef and enjoy it. At least I hope I'll enjoy it. I've watched a couple of episodes here and there but I'm going to sit and be on top of the show for the whole season. I only got through half of Top Model this season but I'm going to stick with Top Chef. From what I understand these people get awfully bitchy and I love bitchy. I SO love bitchy. Plus food is involved and who doesn't love food. This is the part where I admit I didn't watch the premiere episode last week and realize that I'll have to watch two episodes tonight instead of just one. I guess I'll just have to watch Pushing Daisies Thursday instead. You guys are watching that right? It's super cute and totally fun to watch so tell all your friends because I don't want it cancelled. There's nothing wrong with a cute show about a pie maker. Ever.

Special Guest Star

Geez. Why is Denny still showing up as a ghostly figure on Grey's? Hasn't his time passed? Why are they bringing him back for November sweeps? Hasn't Izzie been through enough already? While I'm complaining why did they get rid of Hahn? The only decently explored lesbian relationship on network television right now and they killed it? I love Grey's, I mean I'd have to if I'm still watching it week after week. I've been there through their ups and downs, breakups and makeups. Why are they treating me this way?

First, let's deal with Hahn. She has a beautiful moment when she realizes she a lesbian a few weeks ago, Callie rushes out, they never really work it out and now that's she's gone the storyline will never be completed. Was this all for the drama that would unfold after she left? I read online that creator Shonda Rhimes wasn't involved with the decision to axe Hahn it was a network decision that she took the heat for. Kudos to her but damn to ABC.

Now for Denny. Didn't he get killed off two years ago? Why do they keep bringing him back? I'm not going to lie, he's a damn fine man to look at but I want him in a real show. A show that's going to appreciate him instead of one that's going to retread old story lines to bring in ratings for sweeps. Mr. Jeffrey Dean Morgan you are above this. There's even scenes of him and Izzie making out in the next episode. Is this how the writers are getting back at Katherine Heigl for her fat mouth over the summer? Making her crazy and having her think she's doing the sexy times with a dead man would definitely be grounds for her getting kicked from Seattle Grace. Is this were this is all going? I think I may have finally answered my own question. Now about those damn interns.

SNL Makes a Funny

Yay, SNL didn't completely blow this weekend without an appearance by Tina Fey as Sarah Palin. Paul Rudd more than handled himself and I did actually laugh out loud a couple of times. Of course the best sketch of the evening didn't even end up online and of all the places I've found the video online, only one of them is still running. Hopefully by the time you read this, it will still be up. I find Justin Timberlake funny on SNL and he certainly was a big piece of why this particular sketch worked. Enjoy and let's all appreciate Justin while he's still a force in the entertainment world. One day he'll be a has been...I just know it.

UPDATE...NBC has taken down every copy of the video online that I've found...why wouldn't they post the funniest video of the night? Are they waiting for a best of collection or what? I've reposted with a new video, Justin's 2 minute recap if he was hosting the show next week. It's funny, just not as funny as the other video.

No, please no! My Jungle girls have been cancelled. This is awful news for me. I was right in the middle of loving this show. I had somehow managed to forgive it for being the one that was picked up for another season instead of Cashmere Mafia and now it's dead. I know I have the Housewives on Sunday but it's just not the same. The Housewives are all housewivey and not big shot career gals like they were on the Jungle. I have absolutely no replacement for this show. What's going to happen to Kirby? They're not even going to wrap up any of the storylines. What an awful thing to do. If you're going to market a show and then cancel it at least have the decency to give people a little bit of closure.

I'm not sure if I ever mentioned my love for Model's Inc. It was a trashy show that was cancelled at the end of the first season with a cliffhanger ending. Someone gets shot at the end during a wedding and we're supposed to wait for season 2 to find out who did it. There was an alternate ending that was shot to tie up the loose ends and I would love for one of those for my Jungle ladies. It's not going to happen but I have to keep hope alive. What about the 5/6 million people that watch the show with me every week. Those people that are glued to their sets as Kim Raver licks her lips just one more time. I have noticed that she stopped doing it as much and I wonder if it's because of me...probably not but whatever. It doesn't matter anymore it's cancelled.

NBC you are still only on my speed dial because of 30 Rock and Chuck. Heroes isn't really doing it for me anymore and there's not really much else you have on I'm addicted to. You need help and I can provide it. In these harsh financial times I believe I have found myself a new job. I want to be the head of development for NBC. I will make the best shows ever and people will watch them. Who am I kidding, the really good shows never last that long because people for some reason still watch crap like 2.5 men. There's really no hope for anyone if that show is in the top 10/20. No hope. This is no longer me tearing up about my Jungle girls, it's me ranting. I shall resist bitching any further. Let's all let out a collective sigh and move on to the next show. Nip/Tuck is going to come back on soon right?

Where's Pretty and the Fat Man?

I love me some Prison Break. I was surprisingly touched when Belick kicked it last week. From the hard ass that he was at the beginning when he was a guard in the prison to the selfless man who gave his life for the team I was a little sad to see him go. This week everyone remembered him in their own way and it seems everyone had a fond memory of him. He's been there since the beginning and had a nice send off as Mahone placed a police badge in his coffin.

This is the last season of Prison Break right? I've read somewhere that Wentworth Miller has said this is going to be the last season of the show and I hope it is. This is coming across as the end game for the Scoffields and also the end of Michael. He's got some type of brain tumor/cancer, whatever it is and it's bad. Sarah took Michael to the hospital after he passed out in front of everyone and it does not look good. Apparently he needs surgery immediately but Michael just wants to get Scylla and be done with it. Unfortunately he may be done for good if he doesn't get help. On a completely different note, does Michael look a bit tubby around the middle to anyone else? I hate recaps so I'm not going to say anything else now I'm just going to sign off and wait patiently for next weeks episode. Here's hoping they actually get Scylla.

Deanna broke up with Jesse! Not that I think this was surprising. I must have mentioned before that I didn't think he was the right choice for her and clearly I was right. I loved Jason but Deanna wasn't ready to settle down with a kid just yet so she chose Jesse. Haha. Snowboarding free spirit Jesse. Too bad it didn't work out in the end. What am I saying, none of these matches ever work out. Well, there's Trista and Ryan...they're still together and even have a second child on the way. They are the only two people out of countless seasons of The Bachelor/Bachelorette that have made it to the altar. Really the show is just for shits and giggles and no one ever really thinks these people are going to stay together forever, do they? Did anyone really think Shayne and Matt were going to work out? I'm not surprised about Deanna and Jesse but judging by Jesse's video he was. Poor kid. Didn't know what was coming to him. He'll rebound. There's going to be plenty of ski bunnies on the slope this winter.

Night Switch

I'm going to admit this without any fear. I am loving Lipstick Jungle. Not because it's good, not because Andrew McCarthy is in it just for reasons I'm not going to be very good at explaining. I probably won't be able to explain it at all. Maybe it's man candy Robert Buckley, maybe it's because Cashmere Mafia is off the air and I needed a lady drama. I don't think I watch any other lady dramas. I definitely don't watch soap operas. At least not since Passions went off the air. Well, I only watched the first season of Passions, it got to the point where I couldn't handle the crazy and I stopped watching.

Really though, I'm in the Jungle. I can't be the only person watching it, there's at least another 5 or 6 million people watching. For a primetime show on a major broadcast network though it's not enough, and what have they decided to do...change the day the show airs. I'd say I'm not happy about this but since I have a DVR I don't care what night it comes on. What I do care about is those 5 or 6 million viewers forgetting to tune in or being out when the show comes on. As I've mentioned before Friday night programming is for shut ins so all the people out there who watch the show will be out living it up and not home watching the Jungle Girls. Less viewers means the show is going to get cancelled. It's not like I don't see it coming in the future. I'm still surprised it's on the air. There must be someone who loves them some Brooke Shields in an office high above Rockefeller Center or they've poured too much money in to cancel it now. Amy Poehler had her baby today! I'm happy for her but sad for me. There's a new SNL on tonight and I wonder how many sketches she was in that had to be rewritten. Well, maybe she went into labor early enough for new sketches to be written or maybe Tina Fey is going to fill in for her. I have no idea but I am sad she didn't make it through the election. I doubt she's going to come back as a full cast member but maybe she'll pop in from time to time? This is wishful thinking on my part but I'm really going to cross my fingers that it happens. I've included the Weekend Update clip from last weekend. I adore her, she makes me smile when she's on TV. Even when a sketch doesn't work she commits and really that's all you can ask for. I was bitching last night about not having any reality shows to watch and what did I watch tonight...reality shows. That's right, I sat down for a two hour stretch and watched Top Model and the new CW crapfest Stylista. Top Model was what Top Model is...it's got a formula and it's working and I don't mind it. I love watching the photo shoots and I love a bunch of skinny girls bitching at each other. I got both things I wanted tonight and I'm fine with it, let's move on. Stylista is a piece of crap but a piece of crap I'll probably tune back in for. The lady they're all trying out for comes off as a bit of a beyotch but it seems so rehearsed and fake that I'm sure she's at least half a human in real life. I don't remember her name but it doesn't matter...for argument's sake let's call her BE...BE for bitchy editor. BE is a big time editor at Elle magazine and these kids are vying for an assistant editor position at the magazine. The prize is the job, an apartment for a year plus a year's supply of clothes from H&M. Basically that's about $400 out of H&M's pocket so I'm hoping the apartment is stupid fly. Anyway, it's a bunch of bitchy young people and I've already got my favorites and the list of bitches that need to go. It was only the first episode so I don't remember any of their names and I'm too lazy right now to look them up. It doesn't matter, it's a crappy show that I'll probably stop watching in two weeks when November sweeps start. It's a moot point for me to even bother looking. I'm sad I spent my time watching this and not Lipstick Jungle which I for some strange reason am in the middle of loving. I can't explain it...it's an odd love, but love nonetheless.

Reality Stoppage

I haven't watched a reality show weeks. I never even finished the season of the Rachel Zoe Project. As for Project Runway, a friend spoiled the finale for me last week while I was watching the last debate. She texted me the winner. Who does that? An evil person that's who. I forgave her but I still haven't watched the finale. Where's The Bachelor when you need it? Seriously I'm missing a bit of the reality. I've been drowning in procedurals and serialized dramas and need a lifeboat. Everything I'm watching is so serious and I need a pick me up. Samantha Who?, Old Christine and NBC on Thursday nights minus Kath & Kim helps a little but it's still not enough. Perhaps on October 30 with the season premiere of 30 Rock I'll get out of my drama funk. Really though I want a good reality show. This is so unlike me, I can't believe I'm asking for a reality show. I think I should clarify my statement. I want a good dating reality show. I want Singled Out to come back on the air. I know Jenny McCarthy was the real reason I loved that show but a new spin on it could work. How about a new generation of The Love Connection. I used to get a huge kick out of watching that show with my dad. Ah, memories...we'll be back in two and two. Chuck Woolery you're my hero.

A Piece For All Season

Ah, my piece has been picked up. CBS has picked up The Mentalist for the entire season. It's not my favorite new show but who am I to deny an hour a week with a piece like this? I know I've said I love procedurals but I'm not head over heels about Simon Baker's new show. It's decent and has a likeable cast but it just hasn't completely caught on with me quite yet. Robin Tunney plays the foil to his character and I've been a fan since HS when I first saw The Craft. I still quote that movie to friends and they all think I'm crazy because who actually quotes The Craft? Amanda Righetti from The O.C. and North Shore plays the hot chick for the other people on the team to dream about. It's all made by a formula and that's all well and good but it doesn't make it a great show for me. But I don't mind, I get to look at my piece and that's enough for me.

Waste of Time

This is complete BS. Not funny, not even remotely funny. I wonder when this show is being shot if those involved are laughing. I can see how it supposed to be funny but I just don't find myself laughing. Maybe it's because it was so hyped and I want too much from the show but I'm not even sure that's the case. The characters are obnoxious and I know that's the point but it's just not funny. I can't repeat enough how unfunny it is. I've watched the episode tonight thinking it was going to get a little bit better but it didn't. I'll probably keep watching until it gets cancelled because I'm a glutton for punishment. Seriously I am. Before I watched The Office, Grey's, Life on Mars even last night's Pushing Daisies I watched Kath & Kim. I'm too annoyed to even keep writing about it. I can't be bothered to express my annoyance any further. I hope this gets cancelled before any more of my time is wasted.

Amy Sedaris was on David Letterman last night and had me in stitches. I love her appearances on Letterman, they have such great chemistry. It's too early for clips online but if I'm lucky someone will have it up on youtube later on today and I'll find it and post it here for you. My Own Worst Piece of Crap

OMG! Christian Slater's new show is such a stinker. Matt came over last night and we had our regular Monday night of Gossip Girl and Chuck and then I forced him to watch the New Christian Slater. I say the New Christian Slater because of Clueless. It's one of my all time favorite movies and when Tai is down in the dumps Cher tells her, "Let's go to the mall, have a calorie-fest, and see the new Christian Slater." She says this because CS used to be awesome and now after what I watched last night he is so not anymore. I take that back, maybe it's not him it's the show he was given to lead.

It's got a decent cast, clearly lots of money was thrown at it but something just didn't connect for me last night. I was doped up a little bit on cold meds but it's an action show and it should have woken me up out of my stuffy head cold. I'm not bitter because I'm sick I'm bitter because this is NBC's great big hope and from what I saw it's getting a big fat D from me. Knight Rider is the other big hope for NBC and I'm just never in the mood for a talking car so we can all forget about that one.

Speaking of hopes for NBC I watched Kath & Kim last week. Another dog from the suits at NBC. What did they cancel last year that I would have preferred watching than the new shows they've premiered so far? Well, they cancelled Journeyman which I did watch a few episodes of but then passed on it and decided to stick with Life. I do love Life and I'm still watching it this season, please watch it I don't want it cancelled too. If they cancel Life before Kath & Kim I may consider boycotting the network. I'm lying I'm loving Lipstick Jungle for all the wrong reasons and can't give it up just yet. They still haven't killed 30 Rock and only then would I truly boycott the network. They have Oprah coming on the show, that in itself should keep it on for another 4 years or so. I'm rambling, this is all supposed to be about Christian and his shitty show. I'm going to watch it again next week and come back with another letter grade for it. Perhaps it will stay the same, perhaps it will drop to an F. I'm doubting it'll get any higher.

Last summer when as usual nothing was on besides a few scripted shows and tons of reality dreck I watched The Starter Wife. Debra Messing has always entertained me and since it was the summer and I was in the mood for something light I tuned in. It was a six episode mini series that she won an Emmy for and wouldn't you know it...USA turned it into an original series. It airs tonight and you guessed it...I'll be watching. It's Friday night what else am I going to wath...The Ex List? Yes, I'll watch that too. I did watch it last week and it wasn't too bad. Not nearly as fun as watching Miss Match was on Friday nights but it's shut in night on TV so I'll take what I can get. If it just so happens to be dramas about women searching for men I guess I'll take it. I can always finish the evening off with a bit of snark from Joel McHale on The Soup anyway. I could watch my recording of Kath & Kim. HA!

Tivo!

I got a Tivo! A free Tivo! My Uncle gave me his Tivo that had been sitting in his closet unopened for two years last weekend and I finally set it up last night and after getting it activated and the initial setup and everything it finally works. Yes, I do have a DVR but it's in my living room and it only records two shows at once. If you remember there is a huge conflict of shows on Monday night and now I can watch them all. The Tivo is in my bedroom and while it's old and can only tape one show at a time, you can tape one show and watch another one live. This means that I can finally watch everything I want to. This also means that I will never leave my house. This may not be a bad thing though. With the economy going the way it is I can stay inside and not spend any money by sitting on my behind and watching all the shows out there. The Rachel Zoe Project is not going to watch itself people. I may be a little too obsessed but really, isn't that why we're all here in the first place?

Damn. I really loved this show. FX did a shitty thing and cancelled The Riches. I've been a huge fan of both Minnie Driver and Eddie Izzard for years. I fell in love with Minnie in Circle of Friends and Eddie, I've loved for his stand up since I can remember. My father and I used to audio tape his act and listen to it in the car. They put the two of them in a show together and it was magical. I don't know anyone who actually watched the show and that was the problem. There are tons of quality shows out there but people still keep their asses glued to Two and a Half Men. No wonder our country is in trouble. This was a very well written show with great actors that just didn't find a solid fanbase. Every show can't get the attention of the media and whatnot like Mad Men. Don't get me wrong Mad Men is a better show but The Riches was pretty damn good too. It's out there on DVD so do me a solid and Netflix it or watch it online at whichever sight you watch bootleg TV on. I'd prefer you watch it on DVD of course, but if all you can do is bootleg I'm not going to say anything this time because I just want you to catch a glimpse of the awesome. I'm going to go watch Viggo Mortensen in Appaloosa now to get my mind off of this. Hopefully he'll be able to put me in a better mood.

I've been watching Raising the Bar on TNT. At first I wasn't going to because I was so turned off by Zack Morris's hair but I'm still watching anyway. Saved by the Bell was the greatest show when I was a kid, I watched The New Class and The College Years, I watched the first season way back when Ms. Bliss was their teacher...how cool was it that The Parent Trap girl was their teacher! I even watched the shows that were kind of like it but not the same...California Dreams, USA High...tell me you know what I'm talking about. Anyway, I grew up with Zack Morris and his huge cell phone. I even watched a few episodes of NYPD Blue back when but cop dramas weren't really for me back then like they are now. The point is, if he's on TV I'll tune in at least once.

I'm digging his new show. I don't know why, maybe it's because in the past 5 years or so I turned into procedural queen. I don't watch CSI or any of it's many iterations but I do watch every Law & Order religiously. I suppose I just get sucked into all the stories of the accused. Then again it could just all be because of Zack Morris and that damn hair. It takes very little to turn me in to a loyal viewer. Case in point...I'm still watching 90210. No matter how bad that show is I'm still tuning in week after week. I'm getting nothing out of it but I'm still watching. At least with RTB I get Zack. Well, I get him and Lois from Malcolm in the Middle. I've told you before but sometimes I can't separate actors from their previous work. She plays Judge Kessler on RTB and I feel she's what Lois would be in an alternate universe. Instead of losing her shit with her kids now she's starting a bunch of shit with lawyers. She's so underrated. Why hasn't this woman won an Emmy yet? I doubt this show is going to be Emmy nominated but hey, anything can happen.

Debate Part 2

Tonight is the second debate between Obama and Mccain. I hope everyone out there is watching and making an informed decision about who they're going to vote for on November 4Th. Ever since I turned 18 and was granted the right to vote I've voted in the elections. I have voted for the person I felt best represented my ideals but never have I ever been as moved to get out and vote as I have been in the past year. I truly feel like things could actually change in country for the better this election year and hope that others feel the same. Tune in tonight and watch a bit of history as Barack Obama debates John McCain in one of most anticipated debates since I've been on this planet.

Burying the Lead

I finally finished this past weekends SNL last night and I have to say I think some of the best sketches were aired after Weekend Update. Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals was hysterical. Andy Samberg actually sounded like him and it kind of made me believe that Marky Mark does indeed talk to animals. The other sketch I really enjoyed was the one where Anne Hathaway's character finds out her gay roommate isn't actually gay. I think I liked it so much because of their newly invented disease. Bonerplasia. I want to use this word all the time now. Perhaps I'll work it into a few conversations this week...that'll be awesome.

Lip Licker

The entire first season while I was watching Lipstick Jungle the only thing I noticed besides Robert Buckley was every time Kim Raver came onscreen she licked her lips. I dare you to watch the show and see if you don't notice it. It totally distracts me and takes me out of the moment every time she does it. I can't tell if it's part of her character or if it's something she's been doing forever that she doesn't even notice it anymore. Honey, I notice can you please cut it out? I shouldn't be this concerned it's just a lip lick for goodness sakes and it's also a show that'll probably be cancelled by the end of the season. But maybe if I can stop it now the show will last through next season. I haven't watched this week's episode yet but rest assured that I will very soon. I decided to skip the TV the past two days and spend my evenings in movie theaters. There's nothing like watching two movies in a row. Except when it's the beginning of the TV season and you missed watching TV the week before as well. I'll just have to stay in tomorrow night and catch up. Campy dramas here I come! Dirty Sexy Money is getting watched directly after. So happy that's back on. Before I leave, let's all silently ask for the end of the lip licking, it's creeping me out.

Gary Unmarried

I laughed a few times so I can't say it completely blew but I still don't think it's going to last past this season. For a network that's playing an Emmy winning show that pretty much has the same premise they really should have tried harder to make the photocopy a bit better. The New Adventures of Old Christine does what Gary is trying so hard to achieve so much better. Let me tell you this, Jay Mohr is no Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Don't get me wrong, I find Jay to be funny but not that funny. I will however always have a soft spot in my heart for him based on the film Picture Perfect starring Jennifer Aniston. Always.

Getting back to the real reason we're here which is mainly me saying this show is just not up to par. If this came on in the mid season while other shows were in reruns I would watch it. Since we're at the beginning of the premiere's for the Fall season it's going to get lost in the shuffle of all the shows. I'd much rather be watching Pushing Daisies and Top Model. Hell, I think everyone would. Let me add a few positive notes though. Paula Marshall was good even though she was wasted here. She was good last season on Nip/Tuck and I even remember her in Cupid with Jeremy Piven. She needs a better agent. Let's work on that shall we? She could have Carla Gugino's career or at least something closer to it than she has now. I guess that's all of my positive notes on the show. I suppose I'll just end this by asking all of you to support Pushing Daisies. They're on at the same time only it's far superior. Please watch it, I'd like it to make it to a third season.

Tina Fey is the man/woman/everything. I've decided to come out of my family vacation weekend haze and share with all of you the clip from the opener of last night's episode. I was able to watch the opener and the first sketch but not the rest of the first half hour. I'm praying it was funny because I have to say the last hour after Weekend Update wasn't so great. I'd like to say I forgive them but I'm not so sure I feel that way. Traditionally they put the best sketches first and the less successful ones are left for the last thirty minutes. I guess I'll just have to pray they get it right sooner or later. You want them to hit it out the park every time but I realize that’s just not possible. Some sketches are funny so randomly…you have all seen the Debbie Downer sketch with Lindsay Lohan haven’t you? That one is definitely in the top 10 of my all time favorite sketches. I’m going to let you all watch the skit above and come back tomorrow with more thoughts on everything. Must hang with the family now, I’m starting to become an anti social freak over here in the corner.

Emmy Roundup

Alright. I finally watched the damn Emmy's. After watching them I realized I probably saved myself by not live blogging. I would have just been the bitchiest bitch ever. Seriously. The opening was terrible and the whole super long bit about nothing was a complete and total waste of time. I would have rather watched Heidi squeak some pre-fabbed lines all night. It was the lowest rated Emmy's since they started rating them way back in the 1970s. Couldn't they have offered Ellen a gazillion dollars to do it? She was a great host and made people laugh and truly seemed to enjoy herself. These nutsos the other night were just a big bore.

Something pleasant though...30 Rock won Best Comedy and Best Leading Actor/Actress in a Comedy for Alec Baldwin and Tiny Fey. Love the Fey. She superb and Alec Baldwin is the shit. Breaking Bad won a Best Actor in a Drama award for Hal from Malcolm in the Middle. Since I do literally watch nearly everything on TV I have to say I did watch this show and I did like it. It'll be on for a second season before we know it so look out for it. Don't worry if you forget I'll be here to remind you. Mad Men won Best Drama and I have to say I totally expected them to win. Everyone and their mother is in love with this show and it's a great ensemble piece and I doubt anyone in the audience was surprised they won.

Željko Ivanek won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama and he received what sounded like some of the biggest applause for the whole evening. This man has played supporting roles in just about everything which leads me to believe that half of the actors in the room had actually worked with him. Bravo to him and a cupcake to anyone who can properly pronounce his name. I actually did bake cupcakes this evening so send me your address and I'll send the C-cake in an airtight container. I would actually try and do that so if you're interested give it a shot.

The Emmy's bored me and this commentary is boring me as well. I'm going to end it here and wait patiently for the Golden Globe Awards. I may have previously stated here that they're my favorite of all the awards shows. TV and movie stars in one big room with food and drink and camera crews. Dink! Magic. It's only about 4 short months away. There's an entire Fall TV season to get back to now. I must go and watch Lipstick Jungle. A Piece Premieres

One of my favorite pieces returned to television last night. The hotness that is Simon Baker was on for a full hour on CBS. The show was alright but it's not the show I'm interested in, I'm just into my piece. He'll be on every week and since it's CBS and it's a procedural there's a pretty good chance it'll be back next season too. Ah, something yummy to watch week after week. I suppose I should stop gushing and really get on with the judging of the show. What the hell, I'm going to give it a free pass this week and in 7 days I'll be back with a true review and my thoughts on the show. I think I was just in a haze of the hotness this week and barely listened to what was going on. I found myself rewinding parts because I just really wasn't paying attention. Next week I'll do better. Promise.

A Funny Piece

SNL is going to attempt to redeem itself for it's choice of premiere host last week in the form of the hot piece that is James Franco. This is the guy who played James Dean convincingly and won a Golden Globe for his performance. He's been on my radar since I watched Freaks and Geeks in college and even then I knew what a piece he was. I even dragged a friend to the movies to watch Tristan and Isolde, that's dedication. The movie wasn't so bad though only because it had my other piece Rufus Sewell in it. Ah, two pieces in a romantic period piece, that's heaven. But back to SNL. I truly hope the show is funny tonight, it needs to be. I can't imagine it not being funny at least in parts. It's very rare for the show to be ridiculous all the way through, although I still hold out hope week after week. I've included a clip of James being hot and funny...sigh.

Live Blogging the Emmy Awards

Hi there. It's that time of year again...we're just a short three days away from the "biggest night" in television. Personally my favorite awards show is The Golden Globes. Hell, I love award shows in general but with the Globes you get TV and movie people together in one room with booze and only good things happen. Anyway, I will be live blogging my second event this year and can't wait. It has to be a better show than the Teen Choice Awards were. If they have another show in the round though I will not be happy. How sad was it that America Ferrara's cast had to watch her accept her Best Actress award by staring at her ass. No thank you, let's not do that again. With five hosts sharing the stage this year at least the competition will make it interesting. Each of the five nominees for best reality show host will be emceeing the event so everyone be nice to Ryan. Scratch that, let's throw rocks at Ryan and giggle when Heidi squeaks her lines. Tom will tell bad jokes and Howie will too. Jeff, eh, I've never watched Survivor so I can't speak to his hosting skills or skills in general actually...hell, ignore Jeff. Fringe

This show is blowing my mind right now. I'm in love with it and it's only the second episode. The first 10 minutes had me bouncing on the couch and looking behind me to see who might be lurking in the shadows. I'm not afraid to admit that I'm a chicken shit and I'll be jumping in my seat for weeks to come. Hell, I won't even watch the Terminator show too late at night. This is all very strange since I love horror films. Back to Fringe though.

It's creeping me out big time. They pulled a girl's eye out of her head to see the very last image she saw before she died. The crazy science-y stuff that goes into creating this show is unbelievable. I'm just a regular girl living in a big city unaware of all the crap that's out there and I feel I may be jumping into a very deep pool and forgetting how to swim if I blog about this show every week. There's going to be tons of bloggers out there with nothing better to do that pick apart every aspect of this show and while I'm enjoying it I don't know if that's for me. It's like watching Lost. There's no way I'm going to nitpick through every episode. So if you're looking for super in depth Fringe talk here...you're out of luck. What I will talk about it is how Pacey..I mean, Peter is coming across as the comic relief...I guess with an IQ of 190 all you can be is the funny. His dad's really the one with all the smarts anyhow. Only two eps have aired so far so it's too early to tell if he's going to be any real help in figuring out what all this means and what exactly The Pattern is. Is it anything like the Dharma Initiative?

Seriously JJ...I think you should try a romantic comedy of sorts next...maybe a situation comedy. What if JJ was given the opportunity to retool that crappy show 'Til Death? Think of the possibilities. I mean, death is in the title...if JJ took that show over from right where it is now I would watch it. This reminds me of something my father used to say to me. My mother has watched All My Children since before I was born. He used to tell me if they put All My Children in space he would watch it. JJ, your next project awaits.

You Are NOT the Father!

I always loved the ill fated love affair between Kelly and Colin. I guess after he got her hooked on drugs he didn't get her pregnant years later. But guess who did...Dylan! I will willingly admit that I don't remember the finale of BH90210 but I did do a little research and found out that Dylan and Kelly went off into the sunset together. Yay for them...unfortch they're not together anymore but they do have a little Kylan together, a 4 year-old which means if we're looking at a direct timeline since the finale they were together for four years before Kelly popped out her kid. Brenda still thinks Kelly is in love with him as does her love interest on the show. Boo hoo whatevs. The show blows and acting is worse. I do so love Lucille though. She needs waaay more scenes than they've given her. There was a small love triangle that's fizzled out already and the girls names I've still yet to commit to memory so I won't be diving into that plotline right now. Suffice to say I'll keep watching until it gets to the point where the box is full and I don't have time to watch anymore. Who knows when that'll be but it'll happen soon enough.

The Hero Dress

AAAAHHHHH!!!! This girl is still a rotten bitch! I thought it might get better but I still want to strangle her. I'm angry with myself for continuin to watch. I die myself Rachel, I die myself. What is wrong with me why am I still tuning in? Do I love car wrecks? I must 'cause this one's major.

Rachel's studio flooded and that was the big issue on this her second episode. She's gearing up to dress Debra Messing for the SAG Awards. Dresses were "ruined" although I bet they were dry cleaned and good as almost new. It seems that everything is going to be full of drama on this show. I don't think I can take it. Plus, as much as I've bitched about Taylor, Brad is starting to get on my nerves. These people don't even come across as real. They all sound like ditzy valley girls and I want to put the TV on mute and just watch the closed captioning. Rachel talks as though every word is a sentence. I. Die. Shut. Up. Right. Now.

She said to her husband "you know I don't like it when you trivialize what I do." Please, it is trivial bitches! Watching her hands adjusting the straps on a dress a model is wearing reminds me of the crypt keeper. A tiny fashion forward crypt keeper. Next week we get to see the somewhat infamous moment of Rachel getting turned away at Marc Jacobs from this past spring. Bananas.

Sadness

I just wrote the other day that I wanted Amy Poehler to be on SNL until the moment she goes into labor. Unfortunately for me she won't be on SNL any longer than that. I just read online that after the election she's kicking SNL to the curb. This is depressing...where are all the ladies that used to be on SNL? You must remember their heyday in the mid 90's. Cheri Oteri, Ana Gasteyer and Molly Shannon? The only ladies left will be Kristen Wiig and the featured performer Casey Wilson. I don't know who they're going to cast but they better be out there looking. Lorne Michaels I expect someone phenomenal to take her place. No one could replace her but someone can try to fill her shoes. I'm going to miss her running around screaming...Rick! Rick! Rick! Here's a clip for all of you to reminisce with me. I know I know there are two more months that we can all enjoy Amy but maybe it's best to start the goodbye's now.

What did I say about the premiere of GG? That I was so happy they brought the leads together and that we didn't have to go through them breaking up and getting back together again only to have them break up again. WTF? They broke up again last night. It's a drama about teenagers and since those bitches can never make up their minds they will get back together again sometime in the future. They may date a bunch of other people in the meantime but theirs is a love and bond that can be cut but never severed completely. Look at Derek and Meredith they should be well out of makeup/breakup moves by now but still they keep at it. I want the same kind of perseverance out of Serena and Dan.

Blair is going out with a Lord and Nate is going out with that Lord's stepmother Catherine...twisted, weird and convoluted but that's the GG way. Catherine is the Mrs. Robinson to Nate's Ben Braddock only with a twist. Nate's family funds are being frozen by the government and Catherine has stepped in to help out...as long as Nate gives up the goods. The goods being his booty. Vanessa still has a thing for Nate and he still likes her but Catherine stepped in and stopped that from going any further. She told Vanessa if she didn't step aside she would tell the feds where Nate's dad was hiding. Poor Nate, giving up his father's whereabouts in the midst of a passion fueled tryst with Catherine. Will that boy ever get anything right?

Chuck is still stuck on Blair and believe it or not so is Chuck's little man. It seems Chuck can't perform with the ladies because he's still hooked on B. A parade of women went through his suite but to no avail, he just could do it. Serena pointed out the problem and Chuck went out to try and solve it. He got very close, there was a blackout, he put on a fake brit accent and snogged B and she went along with it...but then the lights came back on and her Lord walked in. He was upset for a minute but then B begged him to show her how much he cared and then they made out and apparently all worked out. Just not for Chuckles.

Next week we'll see Serena's bitchy side when she and Dan square off to see who can date someone else the fastest. Good luck kids...wake me when the season finale comes on and they get back together. Kidding, I love this show too much to turn it off.

I read something yesterday that completely made sense to me and felt I had to share it with the masses...It's from Savage Love written by Dan Savage in his weekly syndicated sex column.

The 17-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin, the GOP's vice-presidential nominee, is pregnant. The news was released by the McCain camp during a busy week—a hurricane, the Republican National Convention, Dick Cheney getting us into a war with Russia—so it didn't receive the coverage it deserved. To recap:

Seventeen-year-old Bristol Palin got her ass knocked up five or so months ago by 18-year-old Levi Johnston. Among the hobbies listed on Levi's since-yanked MySpace page—"fishing, shoot some shit, and just fuckin' chillin'"—was this revealing tidbit: "I don't want kids." But Bristol, says her mom, "made the decision on her own to keep the baby," and is now engaged to Levi "Shootin' Shit" Johnston.

As the adoptive parent of a child born to a pair of unwed teenagers, I'm certainly not in favor of abortion in all circumstances. But I believe that it's a choice teenagers should be able to make for themselves—with input from their families whenever possible—and, so it seems, does the GOP's VP nominee. Sarah Palin is pleased that her daughter made the decision—on her own—to keep the baby.

But Sarah Palin doesn't believe that other girls should be able to make their own decisions. Sarah Palin believes abortion should be illegal in almost every instance—including rape and incest. So Bristol Palin is being celebrated for making a choice that Sarah Palin would like to take away from all other American women. Apparently, today's GOP believes that choice is a special right reserved for the wayward daughters of Republican elected officials.

Oh, and Sarah Palin also believes that birth control shouldn't be made available to teenagers, she opposes medically accurate sex education, and she backs abstinence-until- marriage sex "education."

Sigh.

The GOP has poured hundreds of millions of dollars into abstinence "education" programs during the Bush years. I believe this enormous investment of public funds begs the obvious question: Is our children abstaining? Sarah Palin's aren't. Despite this massive outlay on the part of the American taxpayer and the example set by her Christian parents, Bristol Palin became sexually active while still in high school. Excuse me, but if abstinence education can't keep the daughter of the evangelical governor of Alaska off the cock, what hope is there for the daughters—and some of the sons—of average Americans?

I'm a cad for writing this, of course, because shortly before Bristol and Levi were paraded before cheering throngs at the Republican National Convention, the Palins asked the media to respect their daughter's privacy.

Another special right: When it comes to respecting your family's privacy, Palin and the GOP see no need. They want to micromanage the most intimate aspects of your private life. And if their own kids fail to live up to the standards that Palin and the GOP seek to impose on your family, well, that's a private matter between the Palins, their daughter, their God, and the thousands of screaming imbeciles in elephant hats waving McCain/Palin signs on the floor of the Republican National Convention.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler did a great job last night during the season opener of SNL. I stayed up and watched the whole thing and unfortunately that was the only funny sketch. I get why they chose Michael Phelps to host I just wish he had been a better actor. Maybe you can only be crazy good at one thing? I just wanted him to be halfway decent but my wish wasn't granted. I'm going to let this one slide though because coming up next week is James Franco and let's be honest, that piece is funny.

Kudos to Amy Poehler for staying on the show regardless of how far along her pregnancy is. I want her on the show until she goes into labor. Seriously she's one of the funniest people and I can't imagine SNL right now without her. Well, Kristin Wiig is super funny too but Amy will always have my heart. I looked long and hard for one of my favorite sketches that aired back in 2002 but after 30 minutes I've given up. Instead I have another clip with the same characters. It's SNL's take on HBO's American Undercover docu series. Enjoy!

We shouldn't even have to continue this post together, you should just turn Nickelodeon on right now and wait until 8pm to watch the magic. Chris Meloni plays a hard ass cop on SVU but if anyone has seen Harold and Kumar go to White Castle they'll know the man can be funny. David Alan Grier is truly hysterical and will always be remembered by me as one half of Men on Film from In Living Color. Antwon Merriweather, damn, saying that name still makes me crack a smile. Amy S on the other hand has it in her genes. Every time she's on Letterman I tune in and watch her. You too can see the funny tonight at 8. Completely Underrated

So on Tuesday night I was watching this movie Equilibrium because I am finally going to catch every random Christian Bale movie I haven't seen and watch them. Who shows up halfway through the movie? William Fichtner one of my favorite character actors. The man is truly in everything. He even had a small part in The Dark Knight. Love him. He's not a piece but damn do I love him. A few years ago he was one of the leads in this great show that no one watched called Invasion. I got completely sucked into that show and what did they do? They cancelled it. Typical. I wouldn't be surprised if you hadn't even heard of it. Matter of fact, that's a great way for me to determine if a show is going to last, find out if anyone else I know is watching. If no one is there's probably a good chance it's not going to make it.

Right now this dear man is playing an ex FBI agent on the not so hit show Prison Break. Like I mentioned before I caught up on the entire third season last week and it was a wonderful day. I thought I would watch the show every week instead of save a few episodes and watch them altogether sometime and I think that's a good idea. At least now that they're out of prison and roaming free (somewhat) the episodes don't seem to run together as much. Waiting for Michael to break out of prison each week kind of messed with your head. Now that they're running around Los Angeles the show has taken on a completely different tone and I have to say I like it. Having Mr. Fichtner on doesn't hurt either.

Rachel Zoe has a TV Show

I get it she's THE top stylist. It's Bravo THE gayest network on television. It was an hour of catty bitches and perhaps that's just the way it goes. Her style assistant Taylor can only be described by me as a total bitch. Her job seems like it's super stressful and crazy busy and it could just come with the territory. She seems totally threatened by Brad Rachel's newest assistant who's there completely to help her out and if I could reach inside of the TV and smack her I would. She doesn't seem to want to offer him any help. Plus her hair is a mess.

Difficult is what she calls herself but bitch is what everyone else in the real world would. I feel for you Brad and I hope it works out for you. Judging by the clips from the season he bursts into tears for some reason and I bet you it's because of Taylor. I didn't want to add anymore shows to my already full Fall TV schedule but I believe I will be adding another. Crazy I haven't even discussed Rachel and this is her show. She has a bunch of what I'll call catchphrases and everything is bananas or "killing it" or simply "shutting it down." Then she said something that reminded me of a recurring character on MADtv. Eugene Struthers whole character is built on things taken to a "ho nuva level". That my friends is what I say is Rachel's philosophy. Totally fine by me. I've just told myself I am now committed to finish watching the season. Damn, I can't give anything up so that's another hour of sleep I'll be missing a week. Let's hope Taylor is less of a bitch next week. Doubtful.

What Happened?

What a 25th anniversary it turned out to be. I am of course kidding because while it wasn't the worst VMA's I've ever seen it definitely could have been done better. Such a small venue...what ever happened to Radio City Music Hall? The huge event it used to be it's just not anymore. Maybe it's because the music industry has changed so much since I was a kid. I remember very clearly 9/9/99. It was a great show, it was in NY and had a ton of stars and I was entertained. That didn't happen this time.

Tim Cantiello the new MTV newsboy is a tool. Seriously, he's awful, I don't think he could have been more annoying and I want his job. Taylor Swift was doing interviews and spoke to Pink and said she was one of her favorite artists which just shows how young she is...Taylor was born in 1989 and Pink put out her first CD in 2000...so I suppose it makes sense. She was 11 and Pink was probably to her was Janet and Madonna were to me. Everyone was just so young there...maybe it's because I'm getting old. Besides LL I don't think anyone was over 40. Everyone was in their 20's and younger. I guess 10 years ago the Backstreet Boys were popular and the girls were screaming for them so I suppose that means I can't knock the Jonas Brothers or their rings of chastity. Russell Brand teased them about the rings but Jordin Sparks came onstage towards the end of the show and chastised him for making fun of them. Abstaining from sex is okay everybody!

I could just be completely out of the loop with all of this. The Jonas Brothers are the Backstreet Boys. Miley is Britney with a promise of virginity until marriage. Pink is Madonna the seasoned performer with a penchant for saying whatever the hell comes out of her mouth and the new MTV news reporter is Kurt Loder. He wishes. Does this also mean that the backlot of Paramount Studios is the new Radio City? I sure as shit hope not.

Have I missed speaking about Britney's return? Whatever...I used to love her and then she went and married K-Fed and the love affair ended. It's not her fault Kevin must have put some kind of hex on her and I absolve her of any wrongdoing. Shaved head and temper tantrums be damned. I hope MTV looks back at the old VMA's and studies what worked before and what didn't work last night. They'll see the wrong turn they took about 7 years ago after Britney stunned us all with I'm a slave 4 u. The kiss with Madonna was fine but that huge snake wrapped around her neck really did steal the show. Casting Genius

I've been a fan of hers since high school and am so thrilled I get to watch her on TV. There's really nothing else to say until I see her on the show but I'm sure it will blow my mind...and I'm out.

So two/three days after it aired I finally watch the new 90210. It's not great but it's not horrible. It's unfortunate that I associate half the cast with other roles that are still ingrained in my head. I mean Jessica Walter is on TV again! Playing another drink swilling mother/grandmother. She does it so well, in fact I will only refer to her as Lucille from here on out. Lucille was definitely a highlight for me, too bad she's not a lead.

I was sitting there watching the plot unfold and the show started to remind me of the movie Mean Girls. Annie is talking to Erin about how the queen bee of the school told everyone about her dad's affair and it was so familiar. It was just like when Janice told Cady that Regina told everyone she was a lesbian. Both stories happened to the girls in eighth grade and I'm going to tell you Mean Girls was 1000% better. I always seem to complain about shows and then continue to watch them. It won't be any different this time but I hope one day I bitch about a show and actually decide not to watch. Doubt that's going to happen anytime soon.

There was a lot of talk about the return of Kelly and Brenda and I can tell you it was totally anticlimactic. Seriously folks, why all the fuss? The two of them even ended up on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. They met up for the first time onscreen at the Peach Pit with Nat and it didn't blow my mind. A little history of my original BH90210 watching. I watched it for the first few years, gave it up in the middle, came back for a few years and by the last year gave it up again. Totally a fair-weather fan and here I am back for the revamp.

I could go into how the boys aren't nearly hot enough for me and none of them have even come close to piece territory but I won't. Anyone who's watched will know this. Lori Laughlin is ageless and still looks just like she did on Full House. Aunt Becky has found the fountain of youth and this is what we should all be talking about not the crazy goings on of West Beverly High. Did I mention that Kelly has a son? She does and I don't care. Maybe after a few week of watching I'll get into it and come back and rave and rave and rave about it. We'll see, maybe next week will knock my socks off cause Gossip Girl this ain't.

Prison Break Marathon

I have a confession to make. I did not watch 90210 last night. Instead I watched 9 episodes of Prison Break and it was the best decision I could have made. What a wonderful way to spend a Tuesday, watching Wentworth Miller in a sweaty shirt for hours. What a piece! Oh, and Dominic Purcell isn't such a bad piece either, he's just not as hot as Wentworth. Enough about the pieces on to the show. The real reason I watched season 3 all day yesterday is because I was emptying out the DVR. I never got around to watching the whole season and finally finished around 1:30 am this morning.

Watching Prison Break is like watching The Wire for me. It's best watched a couple episodes at a time. Sitting down for 9 is even better. I wanted to watch season 4's premiere as well but only got about halfway through when I decided it was time to sleep, it was 2am after all. I finished the rest of the premiere tonight and it did not disappoint. I've been watching since the beginning and always seem to fall behind during the seasons. I'll not watch for a few weeks and then all of a sudden watch half an episode and then watch all the saved eps at once. Crazy. I don't think that's going to happen this season. They don't have to break out of anywhere and this may make for a very dynamic season.

All of the main characters are still around and now they're fighting together to take down The Company. One person who isn't helping them out is one of my favorites...T-Bag. Seriously, he's fantastic. Robert Knepper is a great actor and alternately has me loving and hating T-Bag. Shame on you. T-Bag has escaped from Sona and has made his way to California to confront Michael. T's got Whistler's bird book and of course T and Michael will cross paths and shit will go down. So much happened in the premiere that I could go on forever. Sarah came back to life...she wasn't actually beheaded, she escaped from Gretchen and also made her way back into the states. Reunion time! Sarah and Michael finally come face to face and make out...great, where were the sexy times? I suppose I will just have to wait. It was kind of implied but not really. Oh wait, Michael got rid of his tats in a painful sequence but we never really got to see anything and to be honest the man shouldn't be moving nearly as much as he is if he had them lasered off. What am I talking about, Michael is invincible. No he's not, I think I saw a mini brain hemorrhage towards the end when he was in the bathroom. No biggie, he'll get through it. He has to.

Gossip Girl Season Premiere

It's only been a week but I think I'm a little rusty at posting. I'd even say I find it kind of odd. I'm sitting here in front of my computer wondering what to say. I'll try my best and suppose I'll just fawn over the premiere of Gossip Girl.

YAY! I had so much fun watching GG last night. Matty came over and we watched the last three episodes from last season and drank champagne. Then we watched the premiere and giggled our heads off. We waited all summer for this and we were rewarded handsomely. One of the things that definitely caught my eye with this episode was the brand new all over tan they gave Dan. Seriously, he was either pushed into a tanning bed or someone strapped him down and gave him a spray tan. Perhaps it was just so he wasn't washed out in his Hamptons whites. Dan and Serena realized by the end of the episode that they were made for each other and thus ended my own personal speculation they would be apart for the entire season only to get back together by the end of it. Thank goodness we don't have to go through a Grey's where their leads bounce back and forth with one another. These kids and their commitment to one another.

Blair on the other hand found a man to bring back to the US to trot in front of Chuck B to prove she wasn't hurt by his dismissal of her on the way to Milan. Chuck wasn't buying it and tried to get under her skin but couldn't say the three little words she just wanted to hear. Turns out Blair found British royalty in her brought from euro man and while he's cute and whatnot he looks like he's 30 to her 16/17. But that's nothing compared to the baby cougar that Nate's hooking up with. He apparently spent the entire summer fooling around with her and pretending it's Serena. Nate, didn't you watch Dawson's Creek? This isn't going to end well young man. It's best to cut it out now before someone gets hurt, or put in jail.

Grandma Van der Woodsen showed up and surprisingly turned in a positive appearance. She's the one who brought Serena and Dan back together which turned my greying into black heart red. I suppose Serena reconciled with her gdma to keep the keys to the Hamptons house. Perhaps she didn't want to be at home with her mom who was going through the withdrawal of not being able to be with Rufus. Well, I don't know about that, Lilly wasn't even in this episode. I love the subplot of the parents but wasn't given much info about them. All I know is that Rufus is still on his tour bus soon to be back in BK with his kids. Next episode material I guess. There's so much to look forward to and this is only the beginning of the season. GG I'm so happy you're back on and ready to turn my Monday nights cool again. The Closer has been fine for the past weeks but I'm ready to jump back in to fall. Let the premieres keep coming.

Week of Rest

Hello folks! I'm going to take the week off and rest up for the upcoming premieres. Part of my vacation from blogging is to rest and the other part is that I have family in town unexpectedly and I won't be home to watch anything this week. I'll be back on Tuesday the 2nd to write about the premiere of Gossip Girl. Matt and I will be drinking champagne and eating chocolates to celebrate it's return. I hope the first episodes of the gang in the Hamptons turn out to be cracktastic. They've got to be I'm dying to watch them. So much so that this afternoon I went out and bought the first season on DVD. It truly made me happy and if anyone wants to send me the first season of Chuck just let me know. I can't buy everything I love, maybe someone will surprise me. Anyone?

Fall 2008 TV Schedule: Sunday

I'm not quite sure what the CW is thinking with Bob Saget in their new comedy Surviving Suburbia but I'll tune in once to find out. Fox has it's animated comedies back again and I'll watch them all except for King of the Hill. I used to watch it and I find it funny in reruns but I don't watch it anymore and there's no one reason for that. I'll leave it at that and move on now. The housewives will be back and will be keeping the five year flash forward they introduced in the finale last year and I can't wait to see what they're going to do with it. My friend Nancy loves the Amazing Race and has tried to get me to watch but I still haven't listened. Cold Case is okay in reruns but I won't watch it every week. I don't watch sports so I don't have to worry about the football. Not a terrible exciting night but at least it's not dead end Saturday.

Kind of a throwaway night for the networks and I bet I will be catching up on all of my shows from throughout the week. I did actually enjoy Life last season and I'm happy it's returning. Everybody Hates Chris always makes me laugh so I will also be watching that. I love cheesy dramas so I will wander over to CBS to catch The Ex List. I do not want to watch Crusoe but I bet I'll end up watching the premiere episode but mainly because I like to give everything a shot. This may be my downfall. Who knows how many new shows I'm going to give this "shot" to. Can I really add another 5 or 6 shows to my already full dance card? Probably not but if anyone could make it happen it's me.

Fall 200 TV Schedule: Thursday

I like my NBC comedies on Thursday and as much as I don't want to watch Kath and Kim I know I'm going to watch it. It's sandwiched between Earl and The office and I watch both of those. I watch Earl but I have to admit it's not my favorite show but I still tune in and grow to love it by the end of each episode. 30 Rock is coming back and will surely have me in stitches as usual. I'll also be tuned in to ABC all night, I'm looking forward to seeing if Life on Mars is worth watching, as long as it doesn't get cancelled too soon after it premieres. The same things goes for Eleventh Hour. My piece Rufus Sewell is in this show and I'm looking forward to having a date with him once a week. It's crazy to have two beloved pieces on TV like this. They're in shows that probably have a narrow chance of survival but maybe if I can get the word out they'll make it. A girl can dream.

Yay! Pushing Daisies is coming back on. I loved that show last year. So whimsical and I loved Lee Pace. He's nominated for an Emmy and if I could I would vote for him. I'm happy CBS has a designated time for The New Adventures of Old Christine and I hope they keep it. No more moving it around. Seriously, I don't want to have to watch Knight Rider. Top Model is rerunning on Friday nights so I won't be watching it on Wednesday. I will however watch all of ABC's programming on this night. As much as I'm not in love with Private Practice I found myself watching every episode last season. It's because I had to watch my piece Taye diggs. A piece will get me watching every time. I really can't stress that enough. I think Til Death sshould have had the plug pulled on it right after it came don. I watched an episode and to be completely honest I don't really care much for Joelly Fischer. She doesn't really do anything for me. Lindsay Price on the other hand does and I will be watching Lipstick Jungle because ABC cancelled Cashmere Mafia which I liked much better. Whatever, LG has a hot piece on it so I will watch. Another show set in NYC that was good soapy fun was Dirty Sexy Money. Give it a shot, I did and loved it.

Tuesday will be a fun day of television. I'm excited for Fringe to come on, who wouldn't be thrilled that Pacey Witter is coming back to television? There's not that much competition for my attention except at 9pm. I will definitely be watching Fringe and it would be a toss up between The Mentalist and Privileged but my piece Simon Baker is on the former and I always pick pieces over cheesy teen dramas. This isn't to say that I won't be catching Privileged online each week. My computer is going to go into overdrive with all these shows I'll be catching up on. What will my DVR do if it gets too full? I will just have to watch everything quickly, no leaving things for the end of the week, it'll be too late and it will cannibalize itself and eat shows that I haven't watched yet. I hate when that happens. I used to watch Without a Trace for about two seasons and now only watch it in reruns so there won't be an overlap with Eli Stone and SVU. I enjoyed Eil Stone immensely this Spring and I'm happy that it's returning next month. I'm not sure how good 90210 is going to be but regardless I'll be tuning in. Lucille Bluth is back!

Fall 2008 TV Schedule: Monday

This week I'm going to share with you what I'll be watching starting this fall. Of all the days where shows will be competing for my attention Monday is the busiest. How on earth will I be able to watch four shows at 8pm? It's just not possible so I'm going to have to cut two out. Terminator and Dancing with the Stars will be out and Chuck and Gossip Girl will be in. Not out for good but out until Friday or Saturday when I can watch them online. I don't know where I'd be if TV weren't available the next day online. I"m going to miss watching Samantha Who? on Monday but it will just have to wait for the end of the week as well. I used to watch Boston Legal back when it was The Practice but I didn't even last until the end of the series. There's a new show on at ten starring Christian Slater and I'm surprised that I'm not completely turned off by the prospect. It's weird to me that he's going to be on TV but I'm going to suck it up and give it a shot. It looks a little odd but I'm all about the strange so only time will tell. Hell, will it even survive four episodes? Maybe if the rest of the country decides to watch him it will. This gives me five hours of TV on Monday...wow. There's so much TV coming back on and I'm just wondering when I'm actually going to have time to watch it. For sure I'm going to go ahead and do it someone has to be here to share all of the randomness with you.

So I'm an idiot. I freely admit this because I have made a mistake. Apparently gymnastics has been airing live this week and I was misinformed. Misinformed by myself. So here's what happened...I've been thinking NBC has tape delayed the gymnastics finals but I was wrong. They've been airing live this whole time and I've been complaining for no reason. Well, not entirely no reason, I've still been staying up late to watch I just thought I was staying up because NBC had me by the balls. I apologize for my lack of insight. I guess I could just delete the previous post and my idiocy would be erased but I think I'd rather have it out there forever. I'm not ashamed of being wrong. This is not the first time and so very far from being the last.

NBC Olypmic Programmers Should Be Shot

I'm tired. It's almost midnight and NBC just started showing women's gymnastics after over three and half hours of Olympics coverage. Seriously? I sat through loads of swimming semifinals and women's beach volleyball and I must have watched something else as well. I understand you leave the event that people really want to watch until the end so you can have them tuned in all night. It's Thursday night though and people have to wake up in the morning and go to work. If it was Friday or Saturday I'd be totally fine with it but it's not. I went to bed at 1:30 am this morning waiting for the men's gymnastic all around finals to finish. It's true I have a DVR but watching the Olympics the next day just doesn't work for me. I'm either watching it live or it's not going to happen. There's nothing that little old me can do about this but it feels good to vent. I doubt I'm going to stay up all night to finish the women's all around. Someone watch it and let me know how it went tomorrow. I gotta go to bed.

Kath and Kim

Ugh. Watching commercials blows. I mentioned yesterday how annoyed I was with them but today took the cake. NBC has decided to remake a famous Australian sitcom called Kath and Kim and they're probably thinking they're going to hit a home run like they did with the remake of The Office. I think I can say definitively right now before the pilot has even aired that they're not. Totally judging by the commercials alone this show is going to bomb. They're pairing it up with the rest of the Thursday night comedy block but this is the weak link. Its stars Molly Shannon and Selma Blair and while they're entertaining on their own I don't know if they will be together. Plus I don't know if I'm going to believe them as a mother/daughter pair. Maybe it's because in real life they're only 8 years apart or maybe not. All I know is that I watched the commercials for this show at least 3 times tonight and countless times before and I have never once cracked a smile. This is all just to say that even though it looks like crap I will still tune in for the first episode. Everything deserves at least one viewing. At least that's what I tell myself. I'll be back in September with my review of this cancelled before Christmas sitcom.

Commercial Hatred

I like the rest of the country have been watching the Olympics since Friday and there's one thing I'm annoyed with. All the commercials. Usually I'll tape a show and watch it later on during the evening so I won't have to watch the commercials but it's different with the Olympics. All the events I want to watch air late at night. They really need to be watched live and I've bitten the bullet and done it. What I've seen a lot of during the past few days is a lot of commercials from companies like The Home Depot, Coke and Visa all showing how they've supported the Olympic athletes. I'm happy for them but what's with the depressing music they're all choosing? If I hear Sia's Breathe Me again and it's not accompanying the finale of Six Feet Under I might scream. It's like hearing music from a movie like Requiem for a Dream over a movie trailer for a much less deserving film. I just don't like it. Something must be done about this. Can't they copyright the music and forbid anyone else to use it? What if you heard the theme from Jaws over another movie? It just wouldn't be right. I know I know, Six Feet Under's finale is not Jaws but when I hear Sia's song I'm always reminded of the Fisher family meeting their deaths. It's only two weeks though and then soon after the fall TV season will be here and I'll be able to fast forward through this mess again. It's sooner than I think.

The fall TV season will soon be here and one show that I'm very happy to see return is Chuck. I love Chuck. After the writer's strike it didn't come back on but this September 29th at 8pm he'll be back. You may have heard or read recently that Nicole Ritchie will be guest starring on the show. I'm sure I've mentioned this before but I HATE spoilers. Can't stand them and upon hearing she was going to be on I immediately stopped reading whatever it was I was reading. Some people like to know what's going to happen before it does but I like to be surprised. I will be surprised when Chuck comes back on. I also won't be upset that Nicole Ritchie will be spoiling one of my favorite shows from last season. It will be wasting waaay too much energy worrying about that. Who knows, she may end up being awesome, I'm not holding my breath.

He Did It!

I'm so proud of my spark plug. He won, he really won. Cat said over 60 million votes were counted and I'd like to think my 29 had something to do with it. The finale didn't drag quite as much as I thought it would and I even sat through the Jonas Brothers performance. I watched them on Leno the other night and as hard as I've tried to pretend I don't I actually kind of like their new song. It's catchy in a way Miley C. has never been for me. But really we're here to talk about Joshua. Winner of $250,000 and a featured part in Step-Up 3D. I love both Step Up movies because I love to watch people dance and now my favorite SYTYCD'er will be in the new one! Hooray!

Let's not forget about the $50,000 they awarded to Katee for coming in first for the girls. Now that was a surprise. I wonder if that's something new they've added and will it still be a prize next year. Will Adam Shankman have another movie role to hand out next summer as well? Who knows, it'll be another 9 months until we get to watch again. I'm going to handle it pretty well, mainly because all of my shows are coming on in a month.

All in all it was a good finale and pretty entertaining. Nigel tap danced with the kids from Debbie Allen's studio and Mary hoofed it with Dimitri. They were both pretty good and the judges decided that all the people on the panel should have to dance. I think that's a great idea and would love to see that. Things we can leave to next season and worry about later. Again, I'm just so ecstatic that Joshua won and now I can go to sleep in peace.

My Spark Plug

I am so in love with Joshua. I can't help it I just am. He's spectacular and entertaining and I truly want him to win. Not to take anything away from the other three. They all have their strengths but I want Joshua to win. did you see how high he jumped...three times in a row? I don't want this to turn into one big fawning post about Joshua but I feel it might. I can't even count how many times I voted for him last night. Too many to count. Okay I counted and it was 29 times. I'm not even sure I want to write anything else...he should just win. I'll be tuning in tonight to see if my prediction/hopes are correct. My fingers are firmly crossed.

My sister called me yesterday afternoon for no other reason really than to say hello and see what I was doing. Then she asked if I'd ever watched Tori & Dean's show on the Oxygen network. I said I hadn't and then I couldn't hear her anymore just Tori's voice in the background. She was into the show and wanted to get off the phone with me because it was back on and she told me to go watch. For once I listened and I actually watched. I ended up watching and episode and a half. WTF?! Maybe I was bored or perhaps I just got comfortable on the couch and just didn't feel like moving. I still can't believe I spent 45 minutes watching. I saw Tori & Dean throw their kid a b'day party and guess who was a guest...D. Richards! I'm surprised Tori wasn't a guest star on D's reality show. Can so-called stars even do that? Guest star on each others reality shows? I guess you can do whatever you want, it's your reality. I'm not even sure D had any guest stars. Who knows she might have I just let every memory of her show fall out of my head when it was over. No use storing that useless information when I can store other crap in there.

The other episode I saw was Tori going on her book tour and trying to sell her jewelry line on QVC or HSN or some shit like that. I'm pretty sure it was HSN. This reminds me of this book I totally love called Sellevision by Augusten Burroughs. Go buy it now it's fab. Anywho, Tori was seven months pregnant and having contractions or something along those lines and the doctor said she couldn't fly. She was so upset. Boo hoo. Her solution was to call in to the show and there was the drama of the episode. She couldn't get through! Eventually of course she did and the drama was over. I can't believe I've laid out the entire episode here...so boring. I won't be catching this show again. I'm going to continue ignoring my sister, it's the right thing to do.

Yo Anderson

I taped Anderson Cooper on Regis and Kelly this morning because I love Anderson Cooper. I don't watch his CNN show very much but whenever he co-hosts with Kelly when Regis is out I always watch. He called Ali Lohan out for looking 60 this morning and admitted to watching Living Lohan, Project Runway and Flipping Out. He name checked the entire Bravo network. I'm just going to go with the idea that Anderson is just incredibly Metro. What else could be the reason for him constantly watching the gayest network on television? I don't blame him though because it sounds like we watch the same things. Kelly said that Anderson watches shows like this to unwind after all the hard work he does reporting in far off places and such. Whatever makes him happy. I just love his banter with Kelly, it's like watching two girlfriends chit chat during their lunch break. Super cute.

We're just a few months away from the earth imploding. I believe life as we know it is over because Pamela Anderson now has a reality show. Now I shouldn't judge because I've only seen clips and not the whole show. To be completely honest it has to be more entertaining than Denise Richard's show. That woman never did anything and her boring ass show reflected that. Pammy is spending her first episode having a rummage sale of her personal belongings. Definitely more interesting than Denise's premiere about her pigs. So maybe Pammy's show isn't a sign of the apocalypse, Denise's was and the earth will stand still 7 weeks from now. This is starting to scare me. Maybe I should quit while I'm ahead and avoid Pammy and her idea of reality. I kid, I kid. I will so be watching this show, if I endured 6 eps of Denise I can sure enough endure Pam. Let the reality commence!

Robin Thicke on Leno

This is a pretty good looking guy. Robin Thicke sings and the ladies swoon. He appeared on Leno the other night and did something tragic. He did the white boy shuffle. I call it that because that's exactly what it is. It was embarrassing for me to watch but maybe I'm just super sensitive. I don't think he needs to work that hard to sell himself. He's cute and he can sing. You don't need to do much more than that. He was dancing with a cane for goodness sakes. So unnecessary. The cheesy dance moves should have been left to the Star Search contestants from 1992. I'm including a clip so you can judge for yourself but I bet you'll agree with me.
